This is like my 5th question ive asked, but its helpful... i was wondering and which ive heard that having a c-section can cause you to have a permanent "pudge" in your stomach because the muscles get sewed together, but with vagainal delivery you do not? anyone know if this is true or not?

I have had 2 c sections and they were 18 months apart. down where the scar is ( just at the hair line) there is no "pudge", but I have still some little baby fat left in my belly area. My son is only 5 months old, and I am getting a flatter stomach as the weeks go by. The only thing that I notice is that the scar area is still a little numb sometimes. If you have any questions and want someone to talk to about it, give me a holler

I wouldn't think so, I had a c-section, and within two-three weeks after, I could wear my old clothes again. I probably could have right away, but it is swollen and sore for a while. It really isn't that bad. Plus, I always thought..okay probably going to have stitches somewhere....but where do I want them? Down south, oooo, ouch or on my tummy? lol, plus it's so low now, never shows when have underwear, swimsuit, etc etc on. Good Luck!

Yes its true i had 2 my youngest is 22 and oh that area looks lovely pudge! They should automatically give women tummy tucks directley after a csection i think its unfair to leave us that way

No my mom had a c-section and you can't tell at all. She said it took her 3 months to get back to her size and she gained 50lbs. She has a very flat stomach and she really didn't work that hard for it (lucky). It just depends on how your body is and if you work out after...that will help TUNS!!

Good Luck

Sometimes there will be a little pouch that will go either below or above the scar (depending on your body.) Not everyone will get it, but it's entirely possible. I have two friends who had c-sections and they both have it along with hernias, so I'd be more worried about that. Hernia's suck!

No. this is not true. I had a c~section with twin daughters! It took me some time to get back into shape and I did it with no pudge.

BTW: my daughters were my 5th set of twins!

YES IT'S NOT SO BAD BUT IF YOU WORK OUT I DON'T THINK IT WOULD BE THAT NOTICEABLE. I'VE HAD 2 C-SECTIONS.
