Pregnancy - September 2006

Im 5 weeks pregnant and occasionally get a mild twinge in my lower right abdomen. I don't feel its anything serious and have been told it could be round ligament pain. My question is for those who have had it: When do u start getting this and for how long in the pregnancy does it go on? I had it last week for a day or so and then nothing. It started again yesterday afternoon and tailed off. Ive only had one or two twinges this morning. I don't want to go rushing back to the docs again if there is no need so any sensible advice would be appreciated. Thanks

why is it that compete strangers would walk up to you and want to touch your pregnant belly.

especially men that would say ( can I rub your belly prego?)
And than they get mad at you when you say.
"no I prefer you not to"

well i just asked my boyfriend to let me use the car so i can go to the store and get a test, but im having a hard time getting the keys becuase he is sleep. but if i am pregnant, i dont know what i should do, i was in the process of losing weight, i lost 21lbs so far, and if i was pregnant and decided to terminate it, either way he will tell his twin brother, and his twin will tellh is wife, and i dont want them knowing my business, and trust me no matter how much i plead for him not to tell our business, he is gonna tell his twin anyway. what do u think i should do?

i am like 2 or 3 weeks late for my period right? so the other day i scheduled an appointment with planned parenthood, and like thursday i noticed some pink spotting and a (little dab of you know what) as i wiped, so on friday i cancelled my appointment because i knew i was gonna come on. now its sunday, and my damn cycle still hasnt come down, it will wipe pinkish from time to time, im gettin nervous what do u think the case is?

I know this is probably a weird question. But I'm in week 10 of what has been an awful pregnancy so far. I've been so sick and it's really worn me down and can't wait for this first trimester to be over. I can't help but think that one day of giving birth couldn't be as bad as the experiences I've had over the last couple of months. If giving birth is worse, then maybe I should have considered adoption instead. :(

I'm in labor right now but I don't wanna go to the hospital until my water breaks! I'm having extremely strong contractions 4 -5 minutes apart and they are horrible! What can help me get my water to break? Also, can I tell if I am dilated? Like is there a way for me to check how much I have dilated?

Ok so I went for a second ultrasound on Thursday Doctor says I am to big and wanted to make sure baby is ok so then the ultrasound tech scares me half to death with the look on her face and I ask her whats wrong you know is something wrong? She says I think you have more than one baby I said what husbands out in the field right now( Hes a marine) So Im alone so Im told to wait and another tech comes in and she says congrats Mommy you wanna know the sex of your babies I was like babies no its only one a boy and she said well actually its a boy and a girl Im still shocked so How do I break the news to Husband?since we were only expecting one a boy and now we have a boy and a girl I feel blessed but scared I am so scared because I am due in Dec.

Does having a first child truely, honestly prepare you for a second child in regards to the actual childbirth? I mean, I understand that after having the first, you would have the experience to reflect upon, but I can't imagine one would ever truely be prepared for what must be one of the most painful experiences a human can have, not to mention decide to put oneselt through. So there you have it...I really do want to understand if there is an ability to be truely prepared for the second.
