I have just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant and I am so aware of any pain or cramp. I feel like Im going to go mad half of the time!

Does anyone else feel this way and are the cramps normal?

Yes, I had great anxiety and cramping too. Try and do something to relax when this happens, and hopefully it will take your mind off it. Try some different ways to get your mind off of them...walk, watch tv, do laundry, or anything you really like to do!
Do you have a book on pregnancy? I got the one that went week by week, not month by month. I sometimes fantasied about stuff that wasn't there, and thought I was feeling some things all the time, but it did really help to know what to expect!

It can be normal to feel some cramping but the best advice I can give you is if you are worried call your doctor. They won't care if you call them. Part of their job is to help ease any concerns you may have. Plus you want to make sure that you are not having a tubular pregnancy. I always feel paranoid when I first find out that I am pregnant just because you don't have the surety yet that the baby is okay and everything is going to be fine. Good Luck and Congratulations on the baby.

YES!!! im 4 weeks pregnant too, i feel every single pain too anything im like oh pain! Or uh i feel sick, just everything im so aware of it and i always blame the pregnancy because of a headach or a cramp, but not always is it because of my pregnancy, and yes small not too painful cramps are normal, its the cause of the uterus getting bigger. Good luck with your pregnancy!!

Yes, it's normal to be super self-aware and paranoid.

My advice? Go to your local bookstore and pick up a copy of "What to Expect When You're Expecting". It'll break it down month by month and explain what's going on with your body, what you may be feeling, and answer a lot of the questions women commonly ask about their pregnancy.

Oh, and while you're at it -- pick up a copy of "How to Get Your Baby to Sleep Through the Night" by Janet Spencer King -- you have NO idea what a precious and rarefied commodity a good night's sleep is until you become the parent of a newborn!

Good luck, and Happy Pregnancy!

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I feel the same way. Every pain or ache or cramp or whatever freaks me out. I have heard that the cramps are normal. My first prenatal appointment is on Wed. so I will find out then. good luck to you and try and relax.♥

I wasn't that way with my 1rst child but with my second I was because I had miscarried 7 mths before I got pregnant with my second. Light cramps are normal, BUT heavy cramps or bright red bleeding is NOT. SO if the cramps are like menstral (bad) or there is bleeding CALL the dr. Goodluck and CONGRATS

Yes, it's normal to feel this way (get used to it, because the worry and nerves get even worse AFTER the baby is born!) and cramps during early pregnancy are normal as long as they're not excrutiating or accompanied by bright red blood.

I am 18 weeks and I ALWAYS DO! I have had 3 other kids and NEVER really noticed things like I do now! Although most of them are NORMAL you are just taking more time to listen to your body! CONGRATS! EVERY THING WILL BE FINE!

The cramps could just be your uterus expanding and growing. Try not to worry. Stress can also complicate pregnancy.
