Well sweetie, She needs to know. You need to be going to the doctors and have him or her check you and the baby out and be put on pre-natal vitamins. If you plan on keeping the baby, tell her that, if you have decided to have someone adopt the child, then you need to start the process now. Most people that adopt babies will pay for all medical expenses. If you go to church then speak to your pastor he might have some other suggestions. Good Luck and my prayers are with you.

From experience, it would be best to tell your mom...I was 17 and 5 months pregnant, when my parents found out. Much to my surprise, they were very supportive. I was afraid to tell them, because I feared the worse...they would disown me, but their reaction was totally the opposite.
Right now, you need all of the support you can get, and noone knows better what you are going through than you mom. She can answer any questions that you have and help calm any fears that you have as well. Hopefully the father of your child is there to help you as well, but if not, there are many programs to assist you financially if you need it. She may be upset or disappointed that you 'accidentally' became pregnant, but I am sure that she will be there for you. (After all, you are 18, an adult, and the baby that you are carrying is also her grandchild.)
Good luck, and congratulations!

The answer depends on the kind of home yuo live in. If there is no abuse in the home, just tell her. It's the best thing and should bring you two closer.
I know its a scary thing and your are young, but remember, this life is a gift and you CAN handle it. Children are the MOST precious thnings in the world. You will never regret keeping the child.
Be carefull if you go to planned parenthood. There #1 source of revenue is abortions. There is a HUGE conflict of interest there.
If you are in an abusive home.. GET OUT. If you are afraid to go to a city shelter, go to a church that your parents DO NOT go to. This way, the abusers cannot pump the staff for info.
If you need good books for parenting
What to expect when you are expecting
The Strong Willed Child by Dr James Dobson
Dare to Discipline by Dr James Dobson
Don't trust what Dr Spock says till you find out how his own children turned out
Be carefull if you go to planned parenthood. their number one source of revenue is abortions. there is a HUGE conflict of interest there with you unborn child in the middle.
Congratualtions with the news and God bless you and give you wisdom.

Unless you plan on having this baby alone and never speaking to her again, you need to tell her pretty quick because if you don't, she's gonna eventually figure it out on her own if she doesn't know already and is just waiting on you to confide in her. I don't know your mom and I can't tell you what she'll do, but being the mother of a 17 year old myself, I can tell you that I would much rather her come tell me than for me to find out. You just need to sit her down, turn off the phone and tv, and tell her you need to talk to her. Explain the who/what/where/why to her. Ask her to be there with you and give you guidance and explain to her that you want her to be a part of you and your child's life. If my daughter gave it to my that way I would be understanding and supportive, that doesn't mean I won't be ticked off as all get out, but I wouldn't disown her. It could be worse, you could be 12 and pregnant, but 18 isn't THAT bad.

I understand...calm down. I am also 18, and 6 months along. it was hard to tell my family/friends...but if you plan on having this baby, you have to let your mom know ASAP. hopefully you are getting prental vitamins and all that good stuff, and if not, get to it or you could have problems with your baby in the future. also, you should be aware of what your in for. in about a month, at your five month mark, you will be able to know the sex of the baby and possibly have an ultrasound depending on your insurance...but please, let your mom know. its hard...it might involve yelling, disappointment and so forth...but you have to do what is necessary when you are having a child...hopefully you will gain support along the way, and what seemed like a big deal at first, becomes a bigger, amazing deal next month when it becomes even more real to your family/friends, and the joy/excitement begins! good luck...if you need anymore advise or have questions, please feel free to ask me! congrats!

Im eighteen and 15 weeks pregnant....were pretty close...if you are close to your mother....call her and tell her to meet you at whatever special resteraunt or place you two make go to talk or anything like that...if you dont have a place...well then its time to find a place...call her tell her you need to talk about something serious and you need her to meet you there at such and such time....sit down start eating chips and drinking water and just say ok I know you are gonna be disappointed and maybe even mad but I need to tell you something serious and I need your support right now....Then when she obviously looks at you with worry and anxiety lol as mothers will tend to do...say Mom I am four months pregnant by whoever your bf or the baby's father is and let it soak in for a moment....then slowly start to continue..before you go the more you have planned the smoother it will go....I mean you really need to be able to make your mother feel better by saying something like O well I am going to get on medicaid and get a job and post pone college til after the baby is born (my situation) or....The baby's father and I are gona get married.....(and no I am not telling you to go marry your babys father lol.....I am not with my baby's father and you COULDNT make me be with him lol) but just make sure you ahve your life planned out enough that you can make your mother feel better by telling her what some of your plans are...it wasnt my mom I had to deal with when I got pregnant as my mom and I are close and I had been telling her that I thought I was long before I found out..but it was my father that I had to do the whole sit down, have an adult talk...and watch his face have that disappointing look and after a week he got over it and is excited to be a grandpa....just dont get discouraged if she gets upset...mothers have big plans for their daughters...not that having a baby isnt awesome....its just gonna take some time for her to get use to it...most of the time they think ok I raised my baby now I get a break for a few years then help them raise their babies...so if you are eighteen your mom is still in the ok I get a break mode lol...Good luck sweetie...I am here if you would like to email and chit chat...it may help..Good luck again.

You shouldn't be scared since you dare to have sex before married. Don't have to create foolish reasons to your mom because it might makes the situation becomes worst, just tell her the truth and I strongly believe, she will get mad of you just for a while but later on she will be proud of you coz you'll give her a new title - grandma. And proving that you can pregnant and have a children. It's human nature.

Rip off the Bandaid. The sooner you do it the sooner they can start getting excited to be Grandparents. If they are upset they will have to get over it some time it really silly for them to stay upset. Whats done is done and a you're gonna be a Mommie!!!! Congrats!! God Bless!
