I had my daughter in January, following that I had fairly regular periods for the first couple of months, then I was put on a very low dose of birth control and had irregular or no periods for a couple more months. So I started taking yaz to help regulate my period. I began having serious mood swings, dizziness, abdominal pinching, all the signs of pregnancy that I had with my daughter only to a smaller degree. I took a home pregnancy test that was negative, but when I started having the butterflies I had a blood test done. It was negative and that was two weeks ago. I am still having the muscle twitches but they are increasing and night before last my husband was leaning on me and he felt what he called a kick. I am very overweight and have a hard time telling the increase in my waist, but I am noticing a hardening that others can feel as well. My period is 4 days late so far this month. Is it possible to be pregnant and if not what would cause the strong muscle twitches?

Well it would be WAY to early for any kind of kicking. This twitching could be gas passing through the intestines. Many pregnant women often think this flutter feeling is the baby kicking.....at 4-5 weeks yeah dont think so. You could be stressed hence the delay in your period. The blood test is the most accurate you can get so chances are you are not pregnant. If you would be pregnant hardening would not be happening this early. Wait a week and see if you get your period, if you are worried about it go and see your OB as you may have something else going on in there. good luck.

I too am taking Yaz and it has me all messed up. Strange cramping, unpredictable period (3 days late last month and 4 days early this month), pain in my c-section scar, sore swollen breast, and mood swings. If I had been sexually active I would be convinced I was pregnant as well. You should take another test because you might not have been far enough along as someone said earlier and go back to the Dr. if you still think something is wrong. I'm going back to see if he will change my prescription to something else because I am tired of the side effects.

A few years ago I had to take a trip to the ER. They did a blood test that came out negative. Two weeks later I took a home test, it came out positive and later was confirmed by a new blood test. My point is that maybe you just weren't far enough along for the first test. I would try another blood test, just to be sure. if it comes out negative then maybe there's something else going on in your body that should still be checked out. Either way, good luck and I hope all turns out well.

sounds like you could still be hun. IF your HCG level / quant is not high enough even in the blood that could give you The wrong answers. I would try another test in a week or so then go back for more blood. BEST WISHES

sounds right....that you could be pregnant....but wow...feeling kicks already....gosh I hope its a baby in there, and not muscle spasms or the such. Better call the doctor just in case...Or take another home test...

If you had a blood pregnancy test and it was negative, you are definatly not pregnant. That's the most accurate test for pregnancy.

That could be IBS.
