Pregnancy - September 2006

Right before I found out I was pregnant I had one beer and a mixed drink. I feel so guilty but I didn't know I was pregnant!!! Does anyone know if this can hurt my baby???

I study ballet as a hobby two or three times a week, and last year I decided to try and get through the rest of my ballet exams so I could perhaps teach.

I haven't danced since March as I'm expecting my first baby (due December 8) and for the first few months I was too laid up with sickness to do anything. After that came the summer break and it seems to late to go back to classes now that I've only got 3 months of pregnancy left. So I've decided to leave it until after the baby is born.

Thing is, I would ideally like to take an exam next summer, but it will mean going back to ballet class as soon as possible in the new year. I've been promised help from my mum and partner to look after the baby while I take a few classes, and assuming that this works out and I have the energy/motivation (I've heard this is hard with a new baby) how soon realistically would it be "safe" to go back to taking an hour's class a couple of times a week (certainly no more than that at first?)

I have a very, very close friend who believes she may be pregnant. However, she is afraid to ask anyone for help or answers, and so I'm doing this without her knowledge so I may get some answers for her. Now I need to know - she said that the last time she had sex was 2 months ago, in the beginning of July while on vacation. She also said that she had her period right on time following the trip. Now, I've been reading up on possibilities, and I've read about something called "implantation bleeding." I've read that it's only spotting, within 2 weeks of conception, if at all. But she had a full-on period as far as I'm aware. Is it still possible that she may be with child? She also told me that she hasn't experienced any symptoms of pregnancy at all, but the reason she's worried is that she's 2 days late this cycle, which should have began the 8th. If anyone could give me any tips that I may pass on to her, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much.

I am expecting my third baby. I have 2 boys and am hoping to have a girl this time. I used an ovulation calendar that tells you how to achieve girls or boys. Has anyone else used this? did it work? Has anyone tried the chinese gender predictor? did that work? I heard it is pretty accurate but was curious.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and have had morning sickness since 5 weeks. I'm really getting tired of being hungry all the time but all food I put in comes right back out. I want to hear from women who are or have been pregnant about when their morning sickness ended (just for sake of mind.)

I am guessing I am about 1 1/2 months pregnant. My thyroid disorder always makes me about 1 1/2 to 2 months late, so this is a big guess. I have a lot of pressure down below and I just feel like I have to urinate all of the time. I am thinking that it is a bladder infection. I have an obgyn appt. on Thursday. I am really worried . Since it is Sunday, I do not have anyone to call and ask. Has anyone had this before , only being about 1 1/2 months pregnant ? How serious is a bladder infection while you are pregnant ? Should I make an appt. for tommorow, or will I be okay until Thursday ? I know its long. Thanks everyone.

i went to the doctor and she told me that because of my blood type, hence O-, i have a higher risk of miscarriage. last year i m/c around 2 months, and now im around 6.5 weeks into my pregnancy. has any other woman heard this or actually m/c because thier blood type was O-????

I took the Clearblue digital readout test today ( today would be the start of my period). It said negative. But, the test strip itself shows a second faint blue line. Could that mean I'm pregnant? Should I trust the "not pregnant" reading? I also took two Answer tests yesterday and the day before that also came out negative. I am ready to freak out at this point! Please help.

I am over 39 weeks pregnant and I have this awful rash...I called the on-call doctor last night and the midwife called me back and told me to take Benedryl...she said I could do a pill and a topical ointment...well I have taken 4 doses of the pill and have used the cream several times and the itching is still there. I can't deal with it anymore. I am uncomfortable as it is being at the end of my pregnancy. The itching just makes things worse. Should I call the doctor again today and see what else can be done? I don't know what else to do!
