I took the Clearblue digital readout test today ( today would be the start of my period). It said negative. But, the test strip itself shows a second faint blue line. Could that mean I'm pregnant? Should I trust the "not pregnant" reading? I also took two Answer tests yesterday and the day before that also came out negative. I am ready to freak out at this point! Please help.

on those digital NEVER go by the strip!!!! They will tell you that on the website and there have been plenty of women whom that has happened to...including myself...your probably not pregnant. Relax you'll be ok.

The digital tests always have two blue lines whether or not your pregnant. If it says negative then either you are not pregnant or the pregnancy hormones haven't built up enough yet. I would wait a couple days and take another test if your period doesn't show up.

You are going to drive yourself crazy. Nerves itself, will cause you to be late for your period. 1st don't ever take a pregnancy test before you actually miss your period. That is the 1st piece of advise. 2nd wait a week, if you haven't gotten your period then take another. You may have already messed up your cycle with your nerves. The way pregnancy tests work is this: HCG is the "pregnancy" hormone that pregnancy tests test for. When HCG builds up in your blood to a point, it "spills" over to your urine. That is when it shows up on a positive urine pregnancy test. Everyone is different. Tests today are so good (the brand named ones, not the generic) that when you miss a period there should be enough of the hormone in your urine to show up on the test. BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. That can be different for each. Take a deep breath and relax. Getting yourself freaked out will only make matters worse for you. Good luck.

I'd take what the digital "said". It is made for the results to be on the screen not on the strip. But, that does not mean you're not pregnant. Take another test in three days if you still don't start. Good luck

HPT tests, test for the hormone HCG so if it is to soon to tell then you would get a negative result. I had a very faint line on my pg test a couple days after my missed period. HCG levels double every 2-3 days. I suggest waiting until Wednesday mornign and taking the test with your first morning pee. Good luck.

i think u should take what the test said.
when i thought i was pregnant i took a clear blue digital test, it tells u to wait x amount of mins but my result came up "pregnant" within a minute, i then went to the doc and had it confirmed
its just a let down if the pregnancy then doesnt follow through, i miscarried :o(

Try another brand of pregnancy test to be sure. I bought a couple of different brands.
Also, you can go to your doctor for a pregnancy test.
