i know this is normal but im so scared of concieving a baby. What if i smoke when im not suppossed to, and it causes a birth defect. What if i move around too much. Im going to be a new mom and i don't know the first thing about what to do and what not to do. What are some of the Causes of birth defects in unborn children? (due to my actions) thank you!

Hi, I know that the surest way for me to know if I'm pregnant is to go to the doctor, but I was hoping that there's support & similar stories out there to mine:
I believe I'm pregnant. I took a home pregnancy test today, but it shows negative. If I am pregnant, I'm at least 5-6 weeks along. I had several symptoms:
-Implantation bleeding (10 days after having sex) which lasted 1-2 days.
-Headaches
-Strong sensitivity to smell
-More tired than usual
-Food cravings
-Low cramps
-Frequent urination
-White, odorless, mucous-like discharge for the last week
-Mild nausea (with occasional desire to vomit, but i never do)

I had additional bleeding @ 5 days after the implantation bleeding. It lasted for 8 days (my periods last for 5 days max) & the bleeding was lighter than my period (I've had my period for 15 years.) Also, last week, I had more bleeding, but this time it lasted for 3 days, and it was at first more like spotting, but then it was moderate.

her husband? She has an 8 month old child and is pregnant again for 3 months her doctor said that she has a high risk of an abortion anytime before 5 months. Should she be having sex regularly.

what does "dpo" mean and how do i know mine. last period was july 2. we started july 9. this is our 3rd month trying. my breasts are hurting and nipples are big and dark. i feel nauseas off and on. very tired...trouble sleeping... i keep seeing this dpo but i dont come on here muchto understand the way everyone is talking. i should have ovulated around the 14th..thanks

look i havent got my period for 10 days and i took a pregnancy test and 2 lines appeared 1 line was darker the other line was lighter then i looked again and the line that was lighter became a little darker. can somone answer this am i or not

I want another baby now so that my daughter will a brother or sister close to her age. Is it fair to her to have another baby so soon. I love kids and I want to think of my daughter's intersest

i lost my baby last November by stillborn there was nothing wrong with her and now iam in a law suit againist my doctor and its seems like everybody thinks that it's nice for me to hear they are having babies and don't get me wrong iam happy but they know that it's hard for me because they are having something that was taken from me please help

A friend of mine resently found out she was pregnant.She is going to through this w/out the father.Even though she is going take the father to court after the baby is born for child support, she cant afford her appartment anymore! I offered to let her stay in my home for as long as she needs.She is affraid to break her lease though because she wont have the money if they take her to court. Does anyone have any sugestions? I have married with no pregnancy yet medical test reviewed that i have intramural fibroid which deformed my uterus cavity & hsg result said my fallopian tubes are patent furthermore spam analysis said my husband is ok then with the fluid that come out of my nipples, can you say the problem is hormonal inbalancing?

My boyfriend and I don't live together but I'm pregnant with our baby and he goes to the appointments with me and we see eachother every day. I have all the opportunity in the world to talk to him and I do talk when I find I have something to talk about concerning the baby and what I'm going through but I still feel alone. Is this normal? I feel like I'm the only one going through this right now. I'm only 16 weeks pregnant but I still feel very alone throughout it all. Is there any way I can help him be more involved or something so that I don't feel so alone? I'm 20 and he's 34 so there's an age gap but this is his first baby as well as my own first. I just wish I had someone else who knew what it feels like to talk to but none of my friends have been pregnant and my mother and I have a poor relationship. How can I stop feeling so alone?

I am 32 years old, this is my first baby, Ihad my boold test for down and result was 1 in 160, I need to knwo if any one else had the same thing and baby was fine...
Pls do not say ask your OB
do not say you will love your baby anyway
I am worry and look for some comfort here....
have no one to talk about this now, but I will go to ultrasound next week... I hope I do not get to do the other test..

Through my whole pregnancy I haven't experienced constipation, only a day or so going by without a bowel movement. I normally go like twice or so a day. Is this common, because most women complain about constipation, I don't want it but is this a problem? I also just have a little pooch not really showing much yet. 1st pregnancy! Thanks

some of you already know my situation. I went to the doctor today, I'm almost 39 weeks and The doctor said I am dilated to 4. My water has not broken. how soon could I have her? 2 weeks ago I was not dilated. Or could it be a while still? How soon do you think I would have to go over to the hospital? and what exactly is a delivery plan? 1st time mom

my boyyfriend went into jail june 12th i was sexually active with him for a week b4 that, i had my period in june but it was 7 days late i got drunk one nite in early july and had sex with a old highschool friend and we didnt use protection it was about 5 days after my period i have just taken a test and it came out positive...ide like some advice on who u think it could be my man or my friend im so lost rite now:(

I am 39 weeks pregnant and I have noticed that my breasts don't leak at all (they didn't get that much bigger either) but when my right one is squeezed a little bit of colostrom comes out.. My left on the other hand is as dry as the Sahara and doesn't react to anything. Is this normal?
