Through my whole pregnancy I haven't experienced constipation, only a day or so going by without a bowel movement. I normally go like twice or so a day. Is this common, because most women complain about constipation, I don't want it but is this a problem? I also just have a little pooch not really showing much yet. 1st pregnancy! Thanks

I'm 16 weeks along as well, and I haven't had a problem with BMs, so we are just lucky, I guess! Also, I'm just now beginning to show and I haven't gained that much weight, but at my last appointment, the doctor measured my stomach and said I was perfect, so I wouldn't stress to much about your size. You'll be showing before you know it!! :)

That is great that you arent constipated! You should be thankful for that. It usually happens later in pregnancy though. Just keep eating right and foods that are high in fiber. You will probably start showing in the next month.

Constipation usually occurs later in pregnancy when your baby is pushing on your intestines. It also has to do with your body just slowing down. I would not be concerned if you see that you are getting constipated your Dr can give you stool softners and fiber to help you out just let him know before it gets really bad! good luck..

No, it's not a problem, good for you cause constipation is not fun and there isn't a lot you can do about it if you have it while pregnant. So...hopefully you are lucky enough to skip this problem through your whole pregnancy!

Boy are you lucky. I'm 19 wks. and have been constipated since day one. It's good you are not constipated because that means you are getting enough fiber in your diet. Keep up the good work and congratulations.

Just wait...your still in early pregnancy....It is actually good that your not having constipation problems.....trust me you dont want that....they can lead to hemorrhoids which are very painful....everyone is different so you may not start showing till your 5 or 6 months pregnant.

yea, sounds like your on the same road as I was...try to drink a little extra water tru the day. And if you feel you need it, talk to your OBGYN about stool softeners.. they dont cause you to go to the rest room, but they help keep things easier to come out...lol.. they also around here, give them to you after you have the baby incase you had to be stitched up... Best of luck to ya, they are worth it
