Hi, I know that the surest way for me to know if I'm pregnant is to go to the doctor, but I was hoping that there's support & similar stories out there to mine:
I believe I'm pregnant. I took a home pregnancy test today, but it shows negative. If I am pregnant, I'm at least 5-6 weeks along. I had several symptoms:
-Implantation bleeding (10 days after having sex) which lasted 1-2 days.
-Headaches
-Strong sensitivity to smell
-More tired than usual
-Food cravings
-Low cramps
-Frequent urination
-White, odorless, mucous-like discharge for the last week
-Mild nausea (with occasional desire to vomit, but i never do)
I had additional bleeding @ 5 days after the implantation bleeding. It lasted for 8 days (my periods last for 5 days max) & the bleeding was lighter than my period (I've had my period for 15 years.) Also, last week, I had more bleeding, but this time it lasted for 3 days, and it was at first more like spotting, but then it was moderate.

Right before the bleeding started, I was cramping mildly. I was afraid I had miscarried, but after that, I still showed the above symptoms, without fading.
I believe I'm pregnant but I don't know if my progestrone levels are high enough, or if I did the test wrong, or what could be the problem. I've read that there were women who even got tested by the doctor, and still showed negative, but were in fact pregnant. I don't know if that's what could be happening to me, but similar stories could bring comfort to me as I wait for another week until I take the hpt again.
Btw, right now, my stomach is gently cramping, and my breasts are kinda sore, but not overly-- more like my nipples.
Any help, advice, encouragement will be welcomed!

Okay, so I went through this not too long ago almost exactly the same way - all symptoms, a missed period, and light bleeding - but no pregnancy. It started with sore breasts (I have a 2-year old now so I've been pregnant before), then bloating, constipation, and frequent urination. Sometimes I would get so dizzy I could not even walk straight. My hubby and I just started trying to get pregnant, so of course, my first thinking was that - hey, I must be pregnant. Then I would crave foods that I used to crave, and I would get nauseous but not enough to throw up - which was the only thing that was different because when I was pregnant, I was throwing up a lot. But still, we were convinced we were pregnant, I was even starting to get moody. I also had some sort of bleeding for just one day, and then it was gone - which I thought could have been implantation bleeding. Then when the time came for my period to come, it was no show. Instead I only had some very light spotting - only showing up on the toilet paper when I would go to the bathroom. It went on for a week (which is typically how long my period is), but it was never heavy enough to get on my underwear. I've heard some women can bleed lightly while pregnant, so we were still thinking, okay, still no period. Except for the negative home pregnancy tests that I took, we were still thinking we could be pregnant. So I made an appointment to see my OBGYN, to get tested for pregnancy. After a whole day of waiting for the result, the nurse finally called me and said it was negative. I couldn't believe it, because I was so sure I was pregnant. I was about 2 months away from my last menstrual period. Finally, I had some bleeding - heavier than normal, but it came a week earlier than my next expected period. We were not pregnant, despite all of the misleading symptoms.
My doctor said that my hormones were rather off on that cycle, and that I probably didn't ovulate - which caused the pregnant-like symptoms and the missed period. He told me to wait on my next cycle and see if it'll correct itself. The funny thing is that I never had a problem before - I never miss a period, except of course when I was pregnant with my first baby. And now, as soon as we started trying (meaning,no birth control, no protection), then my cycle started to get messed up. It's so weird. BY the way, I've been off birth control for over 6 months, so I was assuming that my body had time to regulate itself after BC. But you never know.
Anyway, in your case, I'd say try to test again, and if it still comes out negative, see your doctor for sure. You're trying to get pregnant, right? Cause if you are, I'm rooting for you! Goodluck!

I had the same problem when I got pregnant with both of my kids..I went to the store and bought a home pregnancy test that, with both kids, showed up negative. The pregnancy hormone just wasn't strong enough to read on those kinds of tests. The symptoms you've described above do sound like you are pregnant, so you should see a doctor right away. They can give you a more sensitive test to tell you for sure if you are or not. Good Luck :)

Your symptoms are way to numerous for Questions to help you. Plus some of your symptoms are normally seen later in pregnancy. Home tests can show a false negative, you really do need a blood test, which you already know. Also, you are having too much bleeding, whether you are pregnant or not. You need to get to a doctor to either confirm you're pregnant or have a procedure to see what's going on up in there. Good luck.

Keep testing.
I took many pregnancy tests during my first seven weeks and they gave me negatives. I knew I was pregant because my period was over three weeks late, felt nauseated almost all the time, and felt excessively tired. Honestly, it was the tiredness that made me believe I was pregnant. I could explain away a late period.
I got a positive on a test when I abstained from peeing for several hours and didn't drink any water until after I tested.

You should not be getting frequent urination until the baby gets bigger and start pushing on your bladder. Do you normally have PMS? Or yeast infections or Urinary Trac Infections? If you are pregnant, then it sounds like you need to go to the doctor now to get checked out. You might be having secondary issues causing the frequent urination and headaches and cramps.

You may have endometriosis. That stuff makes your body think it's pregnant, you'll have all the signs for months and nothing comes of it. Or you may be a pregnancy where it does take forever to positively find out. Either way consult your physician.

I was told by my "old" doctor... she wasn't very friendly so I found a new one. Anyway she told me that if you are having pregnancy symtoms such as feeling sick or tired, its because of your hcg level. She said that if its high enough to make you experience pregnancy symtoms, its high enough to detect by a pregnancy test.
