My almost 2 year old thinks it's hilarious to spill milk and other food items on himself and others. He doesn't want a sippy cup anymore and wants to use a regular cup. I try not to be alarmed when he does this but he laughs himself silly anyways. Help!

I have a 6 week old who sleeps fine in my arms or in my wifes arms (laying down or sitting up) but as soon as we put her down in her swing, chair, bassenet, or crib she wakes up and starts crying and it takes quite some time to calm her down. We have tryed all the suggestions that the baby books give us as well as most of the baby websites. We don't want her to get used to sleeping with us but it seems it is the only way that any of us get any sleep right now. Any thoughts on what to do?

I've loved the closeness and the convenience of my baby daughter cosleeping with us since birth. But now that she's 13 months old, when she wakes up at various points in the night she cries LOUDLY and thrashes about until given the nipple. (Her development: I say she's a baby because she's not QUITE a toddler yet, but it does seem like she'll be walking independently VERY soon. She loves to stand and to walk holding our hands. She eats a varied & healthy diet of solid foods (everything we eat!) and has nursed since birth. She's healthy, happy & wonderful!) I'd love advice. I do have a crib at the foot of our bed that I could try placing her in, or I could try moving it to another room (our place doesn't accommodate her own bedroom). In my perfect world she'd sleep right beside us, (it's such a precious experience!), but no longer need to nurse, though I'm questioning how such a feat could be accomplished.

my 3 month old daughter likes to stand and i want to help her crawl. when we are together she just giggles and laughs at the fact that she can stand on her own with the help of daddy. what is the best way to help her learn to crawl. I supervise her very closely when she is on her belly on the floor. i have been told that that helps her. do any of you other parents know of anything else?

Ok forget something weird like Apple or Moses - I'm talking about something uncommon but beautiful and original, not the same as everyone else. Unique!

My son is 9 1/2 mo. We are finishing up the 2nd foods that we have so we can move on to 3rd foods? Do we have to do 3rd foods or can we just go straight to table foods or gerber graduates?

almost without leaning on the crib for support. He has also discovered how to sit to get down instead of just falling over. Does this mean that he'll be walking on his own very soon?

My 6 week old has developed a white tongue. This is my second child, and my first one had thrush, so I am almost certain this is what this is. But it's been awhile.(6years) I know I need to take him to his pediatrician and I am, but they can't see him til tomorrow afternoon. What I was wondering, have any of you fellow mommies picked up any hints to make him a little more comfortable until he gets to see the Doc? Other than the thrush, he's 100% healthy, if that helps any. Thanks in advance!

I have an 11 mo. old who has been sleeping through the night (10 - 12 hours, plus one 3 hour afternoon nap) since 2 mo. The problem is me....I will go to bed, get up two hours later from tossing and turning, stay up an hour to an hour and a half, then go back to bed for three to four more hours. This has been ongoing since I was about 5 mo. pregnant, so roughly a year and a half. Any suggestions on how to go to sleep and stay asleep. I'm running on empty with only 4 - 6 hours and running after an almost toddler all day.
