Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 November 2007

My son is 7months old and still nursing throughout the day. He has a bottle of formula at night (around 10pm) and eats solids at breakfast, lunch and dinner. I breastfeed about 4 times a day now. I want to start weaning for personal reasons and I'm worried that I won't be able to calm him down if he's too upset. Sometimes he gets so wound up from crying before a nap that I don't know what to do other than to nurse him. It always calms him but I'm worried about weaning. What if I can't calm him down?

I have a bouncer, exerciser, swing, and just rattles, but I want something cool and new for him to play with different than those; any ideas? Budget less than $40.00. Thanks.

im 3 months pregnant and going through the registration process of becoming a childminder, but after talking with my man he thinks its best to wait until i have my own baby first and then think about childminding as he's worried it will be too much for me having a newborn and other children in the house, i wanted to start now for some extra cash, but wonder will i be taking on too much? what do you's think?

With today being Nov. 1, I havnt had a period since Sep. 26. My EPT test said I wasn't pregnant, and yesterday the doctor said I wasn't pregnant. I'm only 20yrs.old it can't be PMS, so what should I do?

Okay, my oldest son is about to be six-years-old, and I swear, last night my husband and I -- without mentioning it to the other -- smelled body odor on him. I'm not talking about regular kids running and getting sweaty body odor. I'm talking about big guy at the gym who lost his deodorant kind of body odor.

Is that normal?!?!?!

Should we take him to a doctor? Or do boys just start stinking earlier?

We are planning to celebrate our son's bday and for gift suggestions I wanted to put "No box Gifts" on the BDay card. Because he got lot of toys and clothes when he was born from friends and family which are still being unused. My husband is against the No box Gift idea.
Is there any harm if I write this on the invitation card. I wanted to buy useful stuff for his coming years. When he was born I got clothes that never fit him and they are just taking up closet space.

i'm 16 years old and was raised in the church. there is no doubt i'm saved, but i've gotten bored with the whole Christian thing and have lately found myself listening and watching stuff that i normally wouldn't be and it has been affecting my thoughts and almost my speech and attitude terribly. i still go to church because i'm homeschooled and all my friends are there, and because everyone in my family has always done that, and it's what we as a family do every sunday and wednesday. i've never had a best friend in my life, and i've never opened up to anyone and just spilt everything and told everything. i have a friend now, and we like each other, but he lives with his grandma (she's looks and acts young enough to be his mom) and Mrs. Brenda has really taken a liking to me. I consider her my friend. and out of everyone i know, i want to talk to her. i don't feel like i can talk to my mom for fear of her saying things like "why would you think that", and not understanding....
