My friend's husband has always wanted children, my friend thought one day she would change her mind and want a child, but wasn't sure.

Now she is pregnant and it was 100% unplanned. She is very upset, she has realized she never wanted children and thinks she will make a horrible mother. She feels that some women are just not meant to be mothers. Her husband is happy, but also very sad that she doesn't share his joy.

She says she knows her feelings won't change when the baby comes and adoption is an option. She is worried one day she might leave her husband with the kid alone. She doesn't like babies and is afraid she won't care to be a good mom to her kid.

I don't know what advice to give her. She doesn't even think she is the type to be married. I feel horrible for her and her husband. I am pregnant too and so happy about it, and here she is faking how she really feels to her family. Any advice to her? I really don't think her feelings will change because it's her child.

I hear that in the state of California a woman can name any man the father of her newborn baby on the birth certificate. So obviously whether or not i did have sex with her would be meaningless...my question is...If she puts my name down as father does that mean i am "the father" by default until proven otherwise. If so, how long do i have to dispute it until its written in stone that i am the father? Oh and how many attempts are made before its official...i mean as in how many letters are mailed or phone calls or whatever or does the child support take effect then thats when i find out that i need to dispute being a father.

I moved a heavy piece of furniture without really thinking about it. I then asked if moving furniture was safe and got a few answers saying it could cause the placenta to rip from the uterine wall which has made me a bit paranoid. I would know if i had done something to harm the baby wouldn't I? I feel fine, and baby has been kicking and stuff as per usual so... i would know.. wouldn't I?

And yeah - after freaking myself out a bit i don't think i'll move the furniture anymore! LOL

ok my life is a mess. i have a son from a previous relationship who is 7. i have been with my husband for 3 years and we have a 2 year old daughter. we do not have the best relationship and we have separated twice and he is in the process of getting me go go back.
i dont know what i want honestly just for my kids to be happy. my son doesnt like my husband and he doesnt want him around. hubby says b/c he doesnt like disipline which may be true but should i really put my child in a place where he isnt happy to let my daughter have parents that are together?

My baby boy who is just one was checked for iron levels and it came up really low. I was given some advice on what to feed him to bring his iron level back up, But I was just wondering what does it really mean when your baby is low on iron. What affects them. Thanks.

Ps. I feel so bad, I really do try to feed my baby food but he is such a picky eater. I had no idea it was so low. I want to kick my self so dam bad for it. :(

i'm trying to figure this one out. i've been thru sex ed, but obviously didn't pay attention. my husband and i are trying, well sort of, we're on the verge of being deployed, so if it happens then great! n e ways, this is my question, i've read into alot of the conception tips and whatnot, and i always get confused on this. i have a regular 28 day cycle, but on the 14th day when i ovulate, is that the best day to have sex? some say once ovulation hits u've missed u're chance, and others say that's the best time. i would think it's the best time considering the egg is actually released and the sperm don't just "hang out" waiting. can someone clear this up for me? thanks!

fact or myth??? everyone says sex and lots of it will help you go into labor early is this true has anyone tried and it not worked how often should me and my husband be having sex please nothing negative and does walking help and how much walking a week should i be doing to make things progress quicker ??? thx

I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome a little over a year ago. We had been trying to get pregnant, and had finally been referred to an endocrinologist, who prescriged metformin/glucophage. Has anyone had any good/bad results with this?

My husband and i have been trying for a little one for a couple of months now...i've spent over $200 in pregnancy test from ept...and for what??? all negative...so this month i have reason to believe [again lol] that i might be pregnant seeming how we are still trying...however i heard the dollar store tests are just as good and hey their a buck! anyway so i bought 2...i took one today even though my period is about 4-5days away...and it was negative...does this mean i am not pregnant? or did i just test too early...?

im 14 y/o and i like this guy at my church. he's really sweet, thoughtful and he says he likes me back. but my father totally disagrees. he always trash talks him and says awful things about him just because he is russian. he says that because he is russian he is bad news. but my dad is russian and im half russian so that bothers me too. i need help because we really like each other and my dads attitude has driven me outta my house. (im at my friends house) please help.

I'm 35wk's pregnant now, and usually home alone during the day while my partner is at work. I can't think of anything to do...i've already cleaned as much as i can handle, all my friends are working full time, and i've already bought all the baby things we need.

I thought about going for a walk/trying to get some exersize done - but after 5 minutes on my feet they go red, swollen and sore...

Does anyone have a suggestion of things to keep me busy in then next few weeks?

I have 2 kids (ages 4 and 7) and am not working (currently looking), I used to be this active happy go lucky mom and lately I don't even want to hear or see my kids, I'm so upset that its taking me forever to get a job after so many "great" interviews, but worse my kids are CONSTANTLY calling me and needing something that I always feel like i want to fall asleep until morning. I wake up early, am a slave to my children while my husband works, i'm bored, looking for a job almost everyday and I don't see the silver lining.....my kids notice the change b/c normally they see me doing arts and crafts w/them or reading and now i swear I just want to drop them off at my moms house for 2 days straight!!! that's impossible unfortunatelty.

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my fourth child. Recently I have been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions, and where I don't really remember them hurting with my other three kids, these get quite uncomfortable! FYI, my last baby was 12 years ago so my memory could also have dimmed...but anyways, I get these every day lately. They seem to start around 5 p.m. and go through most of the evening, maybe until 11 or 12. I know they are perfectly normal but my question is this: is this a sign that I may go into labor earlier than my due date? I tend to go way over my due dates, I've been induced twice and the first baby was scheduled to be induced but ended up coming on his own two weeks late. I just want to know if having these contractions so often might mean I could actually have this baby a little early? Anyone with any knowledge or experience in this, I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks!

we recently changed his formula from Similac with iron to Enfamil with lower iron now his poop is a little hard and it is very uncomfortable. Please any suggestions.

I am 38 weeks along. My hubsand has not touched me in any sexual way in about 2 months. I know that a man has needs and I know how he is taking care of those needs. Why do I dwell on this? Why does it hurt my feelings so much? I feel so lonely and unattractive. I have hinted to him about how I feel and I have been blunt as I know how to be. I just do not understand why he is treating me like a disease. Ofcourse I am not the size 2 I once was but never the less I have only gained 55 pounds. I have read about this on some sites and I see alot of people say "try new things to spice it up " or " put on something sexy to make him notice you". Pardon me but I think he should be trying to seduce me so to say . Why must I do all the work pregnant or not? Anyone else have any advice on this topic?Thanks so much.
