I moved a heavy piece of furniture without really thinking about it. I then asked if moving furniture was safe and got a few answers saying it could cause the placenta to rip from the uterine wall which has made me a bit paranoid. I would know if i had done something to harm the baby wouldn't I? I feel fine, and baby has been kicking and stuff as per usual so... i would know.. wouldn't I?

And yeah - after freaking myself out a bit i don't think i'll move the furniture anymore! LOL

moving a big piece of furniture once is not going to hurt baby. You would KNOW by now if something was wrong. Yes it can cause what others said, but it is a rare occurence. I'm sure baby is fine. If you have any pain or bleeding, talk to your doctor. You and baby will be fine! Paranoia comes with the pregnancy territory, hon! Wait til your a mom! :)

My sister made the mistake of trying to move a piece of furniture at 37 weeks, it's a long story why. It broke her water.

IF THE BABY IS STILL MOVING FIND AND YOU DONT FEEL ANY DIFFERENT AND HAVENT BEEN HAVING PAIN THEN I WOULDN'T WORRY ABOUT, BUT JUST TO MAKE YOYRSELF FEEL SECURE I WOULD FOLLOW UP WITH MY DOCTOR AND LET HIM KNOW WHAT HAPPEN AND SEE WHAT HE SAYS. PLEAAAASE DONT MOVE ANY MORE FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!
