Pregnancy & Parenting - 2 January 2007

I was probably only like 2 wks along, just enough to get a very faint positive line and my miscarriage started on Nov 10th. I went through it naturally and did not have a D & C. I also got another blood test done and made sure my Hcg level went back down to normal, and it did. I was wanting to wait till after I had another period before I tried again (my Doc said that was okay)...but it didn't happen like that. I was waiting for my period on Dec 10th, it didn't come..so I waited, and waited and waited and took a test last Tuesday or Wednesday and it came up positive, took a blood test on Friday and it was 149 and the Dr. says it doubles every other day so it is higher now. Has anyone else had a miscarriage and was preg the following month with no problems? I am just worried, and if my Hcg level is around 590 something, how far long would you think I am? I don't get an ultra sound until next Tuesday.Thanks!!!!!

I am just almost 15 weeks pregnant with twins. Today it seems like my belly suddenly got huge. It's showing above my pelvis instead of below. Is this normal?

My periods have been a little messed up for the past couple of months & I have NO idea when I'm ovulating. My period in Dec which was 12 days LATE began on the 18th & was over on the 22nd. It was a normal period. (I thought maybe its implantation bleeding but I took 2 tests one just last week, & they were neg) Well we had sex on the 23rd, & again on the 27th (on this day I noticed ALOT cervical mucus) So I thought YES! I AM OVULATING! But is it possible that I was ovulating THAT soon after my period? Only on the 9th day? Well we had sex again on the 30th. I noticed a few days ago that my breast were a little bit tender & feel tingly sensations from time to time, not much but a little. I usually have tender breast before my periods, but NEVER THIS SOON before I am due. Since I was late on this last period, would I have ovulated that SOON after it? What is the probability that I DID become pregnant? We have been trying for several months to conceive so Wish me luck!

I had a LEEP procedure done in April, and became pregnant in August.... my doctor said that you should wait a year after the procedure... and now i need to see a specialist.. so my question is does anyone know how often this causes complications in oregnancy- and what are the complications?

our current schedule is feeding at 8, noon, 4pm, and 8pm. The napping schedule is 10-noon, 2-4pm, 6-8 pm. We are trying to drop the 6-8 naptime and coincide her dinner with our dinner.

How much should you pay a sitter who babysits three nights a week for twelve hours overnight for children ages 8,9, and 2. I expect the sitter to tell them to go to bed after 8pm, and wake them up at 6am for school, give them a bowl of ceral and tell them when to leave to catch the bus. Would it be fair to ask them to accept a state payment since I am a single parent? Where can I find a sitter who would be willing to work overnite, and these hours in the champaign, illinois area?

Do people actually think the kid goes to the magical land of Adoption where a loving family is waiting on them?

I will be 21 in Feb and my husband is 23 and we have a 2 year old son and a 4 month old daughter and I am debating on having anymore children! My child is 3 and 2 months old. I am having a tough time teaching my kid A B C D and some other pre school stuff. He is very frisky and does not want to concentrate on what I am telling him. Probably books are not a good idea for him at the moment. He likes rhyms and enjoys when I play some on the laptop. So maybe, if anybody could suggest some sites for teaching abcd and other things for kids..i will appreciate it.

Band of Brothers?

I think it's pretty accurate as far as history goes and an amazing piece of work. Probably the best I've ever seen.

Would you let your children watch it? I let my son (he was 9 when I bought it) watch them with me and he is in awe. I think it's an incredible lesson for kids. Especially those who don't know any better. I've seen so much glorification of war that I feel it was important for my son to see that truth. My son has a good solid head on his shoulders though and can handle things like this. He's learned more then I could ever imagine having learned about war at his age.

What do you guys think?

I am 36 weeks pregnant and 2 CM dilated.This last week the baby has dropped and the doctor said my cervix was right there. She did not put me on bedrest or anything. Is it safe to have sex now that I started dilating. I don't want to trigger premature labor or anything.
