Well, if generally you have a regular cycle than your period shouldnt be late. If it is and you have not been ill, under any stress, lost weight, began exercising vigourously then if you have had intercourse obviously it is time to start wondering if you have become pregnant. Saying that though which is more factual, sometimes I think periods can fluctuate a day or 2 sometimes, and just be around the same time each month. I have had a period that was a week late for no obvious reason which was strange but not unheard of, and I wasnt pregnant......so I think sometimes things do just happen, maybe I had been stressed without knowing & ovulation was delayed, I'm not sure! But however, if your period has not turned up on time if you take a preg test now it will tell you want you need to know. Maybe give it a week over due date and if nothing happens then take a test then. All the best!

Anything out of the norm would be panic (as far as i am concerned). A day late, and the stick is ready! But then again, that is just me. I am always regular, but I was 2 days late this month (for the first time in years and years (except when I was pregnant)), and i bought the test. What a waste of £9 - came on 2 hours later.

Being late could be down to a number of factors. It doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant. Buy a test to rule it out. The best one I found was the digital one that says "you're pregnant" (or not pregnant!) there's no confusion over the "is there or isn't there" blue line! Once pregnancy has been ruled out (or in) then you can start to work out why you may have missed a period. Go and see your doc and they'll more than likely give you an answer.

Depends on your personal history. I had a 6 month stretch where every period was 2 weeks late. Later on, I discovered that was my normal "late." I get nervous no matter how late I am, but if I get past 2 weeks, I know something is us.

Well, I am not very regular...i usually start a few days later. But when it was rolling around close to 3 wks late I went and took a preg test and got a good bright positive. Good luck to you!

its different for individual women depends on regularity, stress, illness and so on....... once i was 3 months late when i used to be regular, (i am daniel j's wife, lol) i went to doctors for a test which said negative and i came on the next day-typical! - i was only 14 and was stressed out - all sorts of reasons. So to be on the safe side take a test - avoid unnecessary pratting about.

About 2 weeks late then you have a good idea that mother nature is not going to run its course.

Hope this helps.

If you are regular, any late is 'panic' late! If you have an erratic cycle don't worry until it is longer than any gap you have noticed before.

Your cycle can be anywhere from 28-44 days, so check after the 44th day.
