Don't believe that your body is going to follow the guidelines of a book! You can get pregnant at any time. It is not a particuarily optimum time to get pregnant right before or during your period but it CAN happen. My mom got pregnant with me while she was on her period! If it does, you may get your period like normal or a lighter or heavier flow, or it may only last for a couple of days. Best to get tested if you have any worries. Best Of luck!

It is very rare, but some women have been known to have 'periods' throughout their pregnancies, but like I say it is quite rare. Are you having other symptoms then that indicate you may be pregnant? If so maybe you can add what they are as usually a period is the first sign a woman has not conceived that month.

If you did conceive that close to your period the chances your baby would survive is cut in half. The egg has started to deteriorate at that point and more then half of miscarriages are caused by that factor. But it sounds to me like you were not pregnant. But good luck for the future!

Some people have late to very late ovulaton. It's actually possible to ovulate a few days to a week right before your menstrual. However because it takes a few days for fertilization to occur, the body doesnt know its pregnant yet, and you still may bleed.

You don't conceive just before your period is due. It doesn't work that way. You conceive when you ovulate which is approximately 2 weeks after you start, and 2 weeks before you will start the next one, going on the 28 day cycle. Good luck.

Not normally. usually you ovulate about two weeks before your period which means by the time you had tried it was probably too late.

Once the egg is fertilized, there should be no period, unless the fertilized egg miscarries.
