Pregnancy & Parenting - 27 July 2006

My 3 year old son loves playing the xbox game madigascar. My wife and I thought some play would be good for thinking, spatial development, eye/hand coordination, etc. This is a fairly benign game, however, the animals can do "super jumps" off cliffs, etc. My son, the other day mentioned doing a super jump off our second floor landing, and I told him that that is way too high, and he would get very hurt. He responded that he could get so hurt that we would never see him again. We tell him that when we explain about not running into roads, etc. Is there any evidence that these games can alter a toddlers perception or reality, or provide false expectations of his ability/performance. He is a very intelligent boy.

i still talk to my ex and ur really good firends.he has told me that he still luvs me [i broke up w/ him b.c i had feeling for sumone else ] and i told him am confused about how i feel about him but that was little over a week ago and i know 4 sure now that i only luv him as a firend. and lots of people call him "EMO" and i say no his not emo hes himself and some people go up to him and tell him for some lame reason that i sed that ,which pisses me off! .am i leading him on thats there still hope ?

i was put on bc pills to regulate my cycles after being on depo....trying to concieve...should i take them for a couple of minths then try concieving on a 28 day cycle? or is there a day in between i can stop to possibly oivulate and concieve? could somone explain how long it takes to get rid of the hormone and then how long after that to ovulate? thanks in advance!

you guys no.. thanks for all the help.. it doesn't do no good to go to the hospital cause they say they can't do anything thats for my doctor to do.. i have heavy bleeding, an somethimes normal.. i sometimes hurt but not all the time,, i don't even do if it a period or what casuse i have had bleeding for so long.. i had my baby on april th 24 2006.. and i have stoped bleeding yet.. can anyone help thanks alot..

do drugs, or drink. I go to work and come home, I feel like someone from my job, called CPS on me to get back at me because I pissed them off. what do I do, Do I get a lawsuit against
this person? I will not tolerate this, I love my son too much
he means the world to me I would do anything for him Iam so embaressed , humiluated, disgusted that this happened what do I do???? this person finds ways to hurt me, I always take care of my son he always has what he needs he never goes without.

My son is 1.5 months old. He is breastfed, he usually has lots of problems with gas, he burps a lot, spits up, gets very uncomfortabole with passing gas and stool and now he hasn't pass movement in 3 days. He tried many times, usually whenever he wakes up he grunts and strains to push without a result, sometimes he passes gas in the end. Doctor told me earlier that he cannot suck efficiently and he swqallows lots of air, thus I try to burp him every 3-5 min while feeding. When I asked him about his movement the doctor said he may getting not enough milk. Someone please tell me what to do with his movement and his bloating problem.

Is it true that certain positions when trying to conceive, better your chances of conception and is it true that having sex every day around ovulation is not good because sperm count may lower? Is every other day better? I read so many different articles and search on google but every site is different and some give conflicting information. My 13 month old absolutely LOVES books. He will sit by himself just flipping through the pages for at least 2 hours a day, not to mention all the stories I read to him. If he starts crying all I have to do is pull out a book, and the tears immediatley stop! Is this common, or just another wonderfully unique thing about my baby?

I understand that they need somewhere to ask questions too, but does it make anyone else crazy that the "pregnancy and parenting/teen and pre-teen" catagory is filled with teen and pre-teen gibberish?! This catagory is for the parenting of teens, not for teens!
