ok. first of all congratulations mommy =)

I think your best bet would be to make an appoinment with your ob. I have done a little reading and according to the books i have, the normal bleeding time is about 6-8 weeks.

I am sure that if it was an emergency, the hospital wouldn't have sent you away.
On that note though, it sounds like you have alot of signs of postpartum hemorrhaging.

just to be on safe side, go and get taken care of so that you can start enjoying your new baby, and stressing your health!

good luck, and enjoy your new addition =)

It is not normal to still be bleeding four months after giving birth.

Please make an appointment to see your OB/GYN or midwife right away. Tell the receptionist (who answers the phone) that this is URGENTand that you are bleeding. You need to see somebody right away!

When you went to the hospital the first time, did they tell you what was wrong?
Did they tell you what your doctor could do to help you?

Please keep trying to get help - you deserve it. Let us know how you get on.

did you get a birth control shot before you left the hospital or have you been taking any birth control? i bled and spotted off and on for almost four months after having my daughter because i got a depo shot before leaving the hospital. sometimes that first period after the lochia stops can last longer than a month, so it may be normal but i would see your doctor and have him examine you to make sure everything is okay! good luck !

You should not still be bleeding. You need to call your obgyn doctor. You could have something serious wrong, and if you bleed too long, you can become anemic. Call for an appointment and tell them it is urgent!!! You need to be seen asap! It could be endometriosis or something serious.

then go see your doctor! how is a group of strangers on the 'net supposed to help you? if you don't go for yourself, go for your child's sake, who will care for your little one AFTER YOU'RE DEAD?
