you are able to have a baby when you have your period...you sound so young with this type of question, i would hope you have had a talk with your mom or someone in your family about this...you can start a period at 9 or so...you would have to have protection during sex to not get preg and even that fails sometimes...if your at 9, 10,11 i don't know how well the act of sex would be and if it would even be worth it....you to would be way to young to have a baby and the possibilities of pre term labor or still birth is high...please talk to your parents or someone your comfortable with about this...you can even go on-line and look for more info that will help you in your search....

Honey, I hope your old enough to know better!!!!! Usually when you begin menstration ( your period ). But that is your body, that isn't your mind! Babies are hard no matter how old you are. They need things, especially a strong foundation, which is their parents. If you are having sex or over the age of 18, you need to see an ob/gyn. With STD's and the risk of cervical cancer from HPV, you need to understand that what you do know will affect the rest of your life. Please what ever your thinking about doing, think hard, because if you find out your pregnant, nothing....and I mean nothing is ever the same. Babies are a blessing and a gift, please prepare yourself.

Biologically u can have a baby after your first period but sometimes girls get their period at such a young age that their bodies can not really handle the pregnancy.

Don't test it. As soon as a girl gets her period for the first time, and even (rarely) before that. The menstruation cycle does not start with bleeding.

First menstruation does not necessarily equal first ovulation. As a mother, my vote is age 26...
