My daughter has been afraid of thunderstorms since was very young, and that's normal, but she is 16 now and she is still terrified of them. She won't even stay in a room alone for a few seconds when there is a storm. I have tried to tell her that the odds of her being hurt by a storm are practically zero, but nothing works. Any ideas on how to calm her nerves during a storm?

We just moved to a new state and all of our friends and family are 3000 miles away. I'm going to do a Winnie the Pooh cake for my son who is turning one. I was wondering what would be the best way to celebrate his 1st birthday since it will just be myself, my husband, my son and maybe one other family member celebrating together. I was thinking or maybe taking him to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate his 1st birthday. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I really want to get married and have a baby. Once we sell our house, this will be possible. I just wish it were sooner than later. I have two grandparents that are in really bad shape and I just wish that I could give them a great -grandchild. My Grandfather doesn't have any great - grandchildren and I would like to make this possible. Don't get me wrong, I want to have children , the sooner the better, and I know the responsibilities of children. I would just like to know if anyone else has felt this way and what you thought about it.

Hi. I am due days late period wise. There is no sign of it what so ever. But i have got creamy discharge which is unusual for me at this late in my cycle. I have also got a slight pain in my right side of my lower back! Again very unusual! I have been trying to concieve since xmas. Anyone know if what ive mentioned is a sign of pregnancy?

Ok I think I may be pregnant. I drink plenty of water everyday. I do drink one coffee and two diet pepsi everyday. Now that I may be pregnant I want to cut out the caffeine. I do not like juice and I will drink only enough milk to keep the baby healthy. So other then water what can I drink??

Ok so im 26 weeks into my pregnancy and i work in an enviroment where physical labour is necessary. I'm considering going on maternity leave early because my doctor gave me a list of things that i should NOT be doing at work. at i seem to be doing most of them, so i'm at risk for pre-term labour.

I dont want anything bad to happen to the baby so next week at my doc's appointment im asking if I should be going on maternity leave early.

does anyone think that by doing this i'm being lazy or just not want to work?

I'm a supervisor at my job and the other supervisors only want me to stay longer for their own benefits.

i have a friend who is pregnant and i think im getting too paranoid. last week i went out with my boyfriend and he ejaculated outside of me. a few hours later(2-3 hours) he has his hands all over me and im scared that he still has his semen on his hands though he has wiped it and touched some other things. should i be scared? or am i just being paranoid? i did that right after my period ends. and im waiting for next month's but i am scared ill be too stress and itll delay my period. i need answers terribly.
