Ok I think I may be pregnant. I drink plenty of water everyday. I do drink one coffee and two diet pepsi everyday. Now that I may be pregnant I want to cut out the caffeine. I do not like juice and I will drink only enough milk to keep the baby healthy. So other then water what can I drink??

Water, milk, Crystal Light.. not the Iced Tea stuff.. try different juices like cranberry or apple, and make sure that they are 100% juice and not only like 10%..it's better for the both of you. Good luck!

Tea has less caffiene than coffee or soda. You can drink it hot or iced. There are flavored waters out on the market as well as several sodas that do not contain caffiene such as rootbeer, Sprite and Diet Rite sodas. But water and milk I think are the main things here.

PS Gatorade and other sports drinks are really bad for you unless you are sick (throwing up a lot or running a fever or your an extreme athlete). These drinks are even worse on your teeth than soda.

In addition to the OJ comment, you can get calcium fortified so that you won't have limit your calcium intake to just milk. Of course there foods that contain calcium as well.

What not to drink is more the question...caffeine is bad and so is diet pop. Diet pop contains aspartame which can cause brain tumors. Alcohol, which is pretty much a given. Drink water, juice, regular pop (although i wouldn't drink a ton of it), tea without caffeine...stuff like that.

Drink caffeine free sodas and teas. Try to stay away from a lot of diet drinks, though, because it's still unknown what all that aspartame and such can do to you. I know firsthand it makes Restless Leg Syndrome act up, so it can't be good for you. Sparkling water with a slice of lemon or lime is tasty.

Broadly, anything except alcohol, and not too much caffeine. You could try diluting juice with water if you don't like the taste, and remember there are lots to choose from (not just orange).

But I'd suggest your first step is to check whether you actually are pregnant or not. You will get a lot of support from your doctor, ante-natal clinic, etc, and hopefully from older relatives and friends who have had babies already.

You DON'T have to drink anything if you don't feel like it. You're keeping hydrated by drinking water. Cut out the sodas, you'll have one cup of caffeine a day. Diet sodas make me cringe with all the artificial stuff in them. You're drdinking milk too. You're fine with one coffee, milk, and water. Get your nutritients in solid food.

I am pregnant and since cutting out caffeine, I have had a hard time finding stuff to drink. Lemonade, Crystal Light and Diet Sunkist are good though. I do try to limit the amount of artificial sweeteners I have, but according to my doctor and my "What to Expect When You're Expecting" book, splenda and aspartame are ok in limited amounts.

Gotorade if you like that kind of thing. Lemonade, as long as its not too much because of the sugar. Do you like those vitamin/mineral drinks they have? Ensure its called maybe? Basically, just get rid of the caffeine and watch the sugar. Oh, and they have calcium supplements in the chew form. Its good for your body and if you took those you could ditch the milk. Its what I prefer cause I don't care for milk's taste.
