When I have gone to parties where I didn't know anyone but the host, I try to find someone who looks friendly and ask them how they know the host. It has worked as an ice breaker for me in the past. Also, sometimes I just start by finding the host and ask how I can help out eg- replenishing the food or refilling drinks.

Just be who you are if you shy and they dont like you then their not your friends. You just need to find someone else thats shy and help each other out.

Just be your self and be casual until you find some one who you can talk to. Ask the Birthday girl if you can bring a friend with you!!!

well just try to be fun and get along with them.. but if they make you feel uncomfortable i would not go again...and it does not matter if you know the rest of them but the birthday girl.. just be yourself.. be happy, nice and just relax...and i think if you do that everything will go fine....do not be so hard on yourself... she musts like you or you would not be invited... but sometimes you need to watch some of the girls you meet because you do not want to get involved with girls with bad reputations...not even to be popular.....

Just join any of the groups and be yourself.
Don't worry about being liked, people don't all judge other
people for their entertainment value they just want to chat.

act lik them/ur self-wat ever u think is best. Dont say a word for a few minutes and observe how they act-immature/mature- than u can act like them/ur self cuz if ur mature but they are not-act like them cuz they'll say ur a party pooper
