Will the 18 to 21 year old pro dope sector of America swing the vote in Obama's favor.

George Bush proved you only need one more voting block than your opponent. When he pretended to be a Christian.

While you are most sure of yourselves you are completely lost... in a global market we fail, you know why?
because we are uneducated .. we are malnourished, we spend unlimited funds on military while turning our backs on anything we perceive as a "social" program.. we have a media blank out that only reports from a corporate agenda stand point....
I am not going to stick around for the volley on this and no one here that is from that side will react to this any differently than they do to anything else that chops at their misplaced loyalty...
but my question and it is a real one... is why?
why won't you google some of these things and educate yourselves? Our economy is on the verge of a recession, we are spending money on a war that will leave us in debt for generations to come... why won't you stop and consider that you are being lied too.. and your neighbors, we're not your enemy, we ll want the same thing..all of us.
Can't you see that the last 7 years have nearly ruined us?

What in the world are conservatives thinking when they routinely make the argument that it is impossible for humans to harm the earth...

We see several congressmen say that they were wrong to vote for the war in Iraq.
Many look back and see that they were wrong in thinking that the U.S. involvement in Vietnam was wrong and a waste of life. (Nothing was gained except the USA got a kick in the a*s.)
Hitler brainwashed much of Germany and sent men to kill and die, Germany gained nothing but a kick in the a*s.
Is the population of the USA like those of a major, large brainwashed cult who follow their leaders blindly off to war? (correction, they don't "follow" the leader to war, they just get sent while the leaders count thier money made from weapons sales) Who benefits from the war in Iraq except the oil companies and the share holders of the weapons factories? Was Michael Moore correct from the beginning? Are we wittnessing the rise and fall like the Roman Empire? How can making smart bombs make us safe when our enemies immigrate here so easily and learn to drive 18 wheelers and fly planes?

I don't know how many history "buffs" and/or research "buffs" there are participating in this forum, to answer this question but, it would seem like, to me, that if these 2 people ever lived in harmony then whatever it was that got them at each others throats, could be a root cause issue, which could be possibly eliminated by the peace process.

I crave peace! I wish they did.

"CAIRO, Egypt - Al-Qaida's deputy leader denounced last month's Mideast peace conference in Annapolis, Md., as a "betrayal" of Palestinians in a new audio message posted Friday on an Islamic militant Web site."

While I don't live in the Middle East, so I don't know what is being said, this is one of my biggest complaints about this admininstration: its inability/refusal to label al-Qaeda for what it is. A terrorist organization that does not have the interest of the Islamic people in mind.

I've heard the expression, "Don't get in a pissing match with a skunk", but someone from our government should be front and center on Al_Jazeera DAILY, pointing out that:
1. The United States is doing everything possible to make Iraq a peaceful nation.
2. We did not pick the Iraqi leaders; the Iraqis did.
3. In the midst of a difficult situation, the United States is trying to bring peace to Israelis AND Palestineans. Al-Qaeda is trying to bring death to the region.

Well we don't need to get into details here. But most of
us know, and the rest of the world understand how much
we need a Democratic president. The 90's were a
landmark era for the US. Some said, it was as good, if
not better than the 50's. According to Alan Greenspan.....
But what ever happened to the Bush dynasty. I cannot
find 1 news network, not even FOX NEWS, that can
actually say something good about him. Not one. No
way near what it was in 2004, nope, not this time.
Funny how things change so quickly. NPR radio is a
great source of information, with issues on real life
situations, and real people. No soundbites, or Conservative
rhetoric. So, it is looking good for the Democrats, and
they will win the White House. What I wanna know is what
happened to the Bush dynasty, and why they don't care
about having a great legacy, left behind ?

Yahoo China gives the government info (names addresses) on anonymus posters in China and helps the goverment of China to arrest pro democracy supporters. Chinese journalist Shi Tao was given 10 years in Jail for merely 'sending foreign-based websites the text of an internal Communist Party message. Reporters Without Borders said the message warned journalists of the dangers of social unrest resulting from the return of dissidents on the 15th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, in June 2004.'[bbc]

This made me really angry and I'm about to cancel my yahoo account and have nothing more to do with them. What do other people think?

It is easy to bash the other guys, but look in your "own house".
If you are a lib/dem, what has the Democratic party NOT done that they promised, or what have they done they you feel they should not have done.
Same thing for cons/reps.
Also, is there someone in your party that you feel is hurting your party's chances in the election next November.

There's all kinds of other crooked *@&#!* going on right right now besides the use of steroids in professional sports- other things that will prove to be much more devastating to the welfare of people in this country than professional athletes who use performance enhancing drugs- and yet one senator apparently has the time to vigorously pursue steroids users and "bring them to justice". How can this possibly be, and why is this so important?

Fact is he had no constitutional power to do so, Lincoln was one of the worst president's we ever had, The only thing he had done was keep US from splitting which I guess was a good thing. He also killed 700,000 or more Americans also he did things unconstitutional and today he would of been impeached but yet people think he was great but read your history and I mean read it and then come back and tell me Lincoln should be honored. The South or slae states gave up slavery and it was abolished it wasnt the Civil War that ended slavery, what the Civil War did was end the right for states to govern by themselves and that is it. Read this link and thats one of many: http://www.sobran.com/columns/1999-2001/000803.shtml

Lincoln was a tyrant and wanted absolute power.
