The lefties patron saint, FDR, was too, along with Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan. I'd say let's hope this puts an end to the ludicrous ridicule of GW, but I probably know better than to think that will happen.

I would very much appreciate your feelings on this. Thank you.

I just learned that Mitt Romney's private equity firm, Bain Capital , and Thomas H. Lee Partners have agreed to pay in a leveraged buyout agreement with Clear Channel Communications , the largest radio station owner in the country for 19.5 Billion. This is the release from Clearchannel's website:

http://www.clearchannel.com/Corporate/PressRelease.aspx?PressReleaseID=1824

and BAIN CAPITAL::
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/bain_c...

Clear Channel owns over 1,100 full-power AM, FM, and shortwave radio stations, twelve radio channels on Satellite Radio, and more than 30 television stations in the United States. Premiere Radio Networks , which is the largest syndication company in the United States, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Clear Channel and is home to Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and many other household names.

Could it be that Romney will use his new-found media outlet as a passive wing of his Campaign?

What do you think Congress should get done before Bush leaves office? If you could pick just one item off this list, what would it be and why? Remember just one.

1. Get out of Iraq.
2. Stay in Iraq and fund it.
3. Get a treaty signed on Global Warming
4. Immigration Reform.
5. Campaign Reform.
6. Get a bill through on fixing the infrastructure.
7. A tax hike.
8. A tax increase.,
9. Mandatory sentencing of Criminals.
10. Line Item Veto, Elimination of Ear Marks.

For years we have witnessed the carnage when innocents were mowed down at schools, colleges, shopping malls and post offices. The unarmed (disarmed?) were easy targets for crazed gunmen armed with grievances, weapons and ammunition.
Now someone has shot back, probably saving many lives. All of the gun-control laws that have been passed and are still being contemplated could not have had the affect of one armed, trained and law-abiding citizen on the scene like 42-year-old Jeanne Assam, a volunteer security guard at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs.
The point is that gun laws will not deter criminals with evil intent and police can’t be everywhere they’re needed. But killers can be stopped by law-abiding citizens with guns.

Talk about a big fat mess. Trillion dollar deficit ? How do
you go from 60 to 0 like in a matter of 7 years. Now I know
some stiff necked, narrow minded, jaded, intellectually
challenged, Conservative is gonna say otherwise.
But common sense does not ride well, with the GOP.
I see that now..... Worst president since Hoover,
so they tell me. The one who led us into the Great
Depression and beyond. Also, Nixon. We all saw then,
how disfunctional, the Republican Party truly is. Now
we have another one. America's ready for a change.
And we know for sure that a dismal performance like
this administration, is doomed to repeat itself, if we
vote a Repub, back in the White House. Scandals after
scandals. Latest one, Halliburton. It is ashame.....
I find Bush hilarious, don't you ? Best answer wins.

I like to celebrate the upcoming solstice and I have a pagan ritual to go along with it.

That should be okay shouldn't it? I don't think the Fundies would mind since they always put their stuff up at public venues...

John Adams, 1776 - "It is the duty of all men in society, publicly, and at stated seasons, to worship the SUPREME BEING, the great Creator and Preserver of the universe. And no subject shall be hurt, molested, or restrained, in his person, liberty, or estate, for worshipping GOD in the manner most agreeable to the dictates of his own conscience; or for his religious profession or sentiments; provided he doth not disturb the public peace, or obstruct others in their religious worship.
