Of course the world can "accept" a black president. There are black Presidents in Africa already. Most of the Presidents in the world are non-white. This resistance towards anything not male or white is mostly made of American juvenile ignorance as the rest of the world is already grown up.

By the way, throughout American history, we have not always embraced the changes we need the most. We weren't ready for King or JFK either but they came anyway and forced us onto the right track. We look back now and realize they were indispensible to our history. So if we are ready great; if not, then like a stubborn child who refuses to leave Walmart, we need to drag America behind us kicking and screaming if need be.

Good Questions. It's not if the "World" can accept a Black president ... Can "American's" accept a Black president.
Honestly, it's yes or no. There are some people who would be against it and plenty who are for it.

All that should matter is if the person can actually lead this country!

Gosh, this question is asked so often here that I wonder if people are trying to suggest that it would be a huge problem.

There are many non white world leaders, and most people are aware that the US population is composed of many ethnic groups. Therefore, it should not be a problem for the world to accept a black US president.

The world accepted a black Secretary General of the UN for some time, even though he was quite rubbish.

I think with the diminishing power of the US - It's a simpler question of can the US expect a black President, the rest of the world, do care, but not about colour or gender, since most others have had this before.

There are black presidents in many countries of the world. Nelson Mandela is one you may even have heard of!

What you really mean, is "Can the USA accept a black president?" The fact that you are even asking suggests that the answer is no.
