As long as that person was born in the United States and was at least 35 years old, as the Constitution dicates, then I don't think they would have a problem with it.
You see, according to the Founding Fathers, all men are created equal. We shouldn't vote for someone just because he is a minister, and we shouldn't vote against someone just because he is a minister.

I don't think they would care, after all religion or lack thereof can't be a disqualifying factor for president.
ADDITION: From some of the posts here, I take it that if any person is very religious, he need not apply for the office of President of the United States. BTW, I don't remember any uproar about a preacher running for president when the Rev. Jackson or the Rev. Al Sharpton ran for the office. Is that because people don't think they REALLY believe what they preach. According to the Constitution, a Christian has as much right to run and be elected president as an Athiest. Why is everyone so worried about it? He's (Huckabee or Romney for that fact) not going to force you to become a Baptist or a Mormon if elected president. Why should it bother you if the president believes in God and tries to live his life according to those beliefs? He can't enact laws that force you to believe things you don't want to believe in, Congress makes laws and the president signs them. You would never get the majority of Congress or the Senate to start enforcing ancient Hebrew laws.
ADDITION:
Can someone explain how a preacher being ELECTED president is a violation of the establishment clause of the 1st Amendment? The religiophobia here is amazing. It's amazing how few people actually understand what the 1st Amendment (the establishment clause) actually was written for. The 13 original colonies each had a dominant religion and they didn't want the federal government to favor one over the other (ie the Church of England). The 1st Amendment doesn't say that religion has no place in government, it says that government has no place in religion.

More like rolling over in their graves. We need a commander not a preacher and chief. It is no accident that none of our first ten presidents were ministers, they understood that being president is about doing what's best for our country, not preaching fire and brimstone

I don't know about the founders, but I have a problem with a Mormom being President, I think they are a bunch of looney, money grabbing, pedophiles.

Why not?
When the past preacher took the wrong turn to the way to the top of the pyramids in Egypt back in the past.
Was leading all the way to the bottom of the pyramids.
Now have to turn back and crawl our way back to the top.
Luke 8.10,
Refer to the secrets of the pyramid.
In Nostradamus - The final reckoning.
By Peter Lemesurier with the sketch on page 13 in the paperback.
Luke 8.17
What do you think?
