...to support free-thinking and originality, but also believe in over-zealous political correctness (even to the point of banning certain words) which tells people to be ashamed of their opinions if they could not be considered "nice" by a single person?

In addition, why do they cling to political correctness, yet support such things as allowing strip-clubs within city limits or broadcast sexually suggestive programs and those that show the act itself, and even go so far as to justify prostitution?

Are all democratization efforts made by the USA doomed to be renamed attempts by corporations to gain new markets?Just because America is capitalist doesn't mean bankers and CEO's magically become scapegoats.Examples include how the war in Iraq was magically renamed a war for oil,how vietnam was called a war for american markets,or even Tony L's answer here.

Is it pride? Is it because they are die-hard republican, and refuse to admit there's a better leader coming? And, how many HONESTLY believe he's done anything but pick fights, lie, bumble his own words, ruin the economy, look and sound like a retard, piss off the entire world, jeopardize the national security he so vehemently claims to defend (Valerie Plame ring a bell?) and kill thousands of our armed forces over weapons that don't exist in a country nobody cares about? Don't even get me started on the Mexican he enjoys seeing illegally taking my friend's job.
