Former President Clinton's approval rating consistently polls in the mid 60's; And when the question of best past Presidents has been posed recently; Respondents generally rate him (as well as Former President Reagan - The fact that they are both consistently mentioned may also indicate how short term the average citizen's memory is) in the Top 5. Former NYC Mayor Giuliani currently polls the strongest of any potential GOP candidate; And while his personal approval is about the same as Clinton's, His political is much less so - In large part because he is a Republican and Bush has turned the 'R' into a scarlet letter for awhile. So yes; I believe if President Clinton could run again this year, He would best all comers. Polls also show association with his Presidency to be boosting his wife in head to head polls...
