when in fact women were only able to vote in recent American history? it took America almost 200 years to allow women to vote yet alone hold a position is Government. Funny enough they come across bashing us (saudi's) as if they always possessed freedom for all since the bill of righst was ratified. My country is far far far from being correct on many issues but we are less than a 100 years old. I am confident over time we will change for the better but you have no right to bash us the way you do. Ironically America was founded on democratic values but only gave equal rights to all on paper.

The fact that the John Stewart question was deleted shows right there that people take him seriously, and for those who say it's just entertainment read some of the comments from one of my last questions.

"Entertainment, or indoctrination, I don't really care it's funny, and I happen to agree with most of what he says. Jon Steward, and Stephen Colbert are carrying on a tradition of political satire in the footsteps of Will Rogers, Woody, and Arlo Guthrie, the Smothers brothers, and Pat Paulsen to name a few."

"John Stewart is an entertainer. That said, he is a very smart man and speaks the truth"

How people think insults of the president means truth about the war seriously people are smarter than that aren't they?

Someone who likes John Stewarts but not for the petty insults or unfactual information. Whether people like it or not Rush, Glenn Beck, Bill O'reilly are press and have press credentials, John Stewart is a comedian in case some of you forgot.

"PC" is seen by most people as a form of prejudice, bias and reverse racism.

PC is a double standard used in the media to advance an ideology.... most people will admit "PC" is wrong and agree "PC" is just another dishonest form of discrimination.

Who benefits from "PC" ? Another way to say it is who benefits from this form of racism, bias, prejudice and wrong doing?

Isn't all bias, all racism, all predjudice, all discrimination wrong? Why do some groups think you can selectively use "PC" to advance their ideology? Doesn't that clearly illustrate that the ideology who supports "PC" is corrupt and morally dishonest?

A man who after serving his medical residency in obstetrics+gynecology, he became a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, serving outside the Vietnam War zone, and a Congressman for 17 years

He says we need to re-root ourselves in the Constitution
It is SUPPOSED to be the base of our government
What is so looney about that?

He wants the states and local areas to have the control of their schools and communities given back to them.
Why is that so wrong?

He wants individual freedom to be our leading rule.
That was what America was founded on.

So I ask as someone who, from what I see in news, has missed something because I don't know why people call him a nutjob. What makes him so crazy as opposed to the other people running around washington?

Well i am no George Bush fan but even the dems have to give the man credit for sticking to his guns and taking care of the dirty work that none of them would have ever had the balls to do. They voted for the war and had no ideal what war meant isnt that the way you see it?

However, she said: "The president has not and would not ask his spokespeople to pass on false information."

How many people remember news clips on TV from China during the 1960s & 70s? Do you recall every body dressed in exactly the same clothes, same styling and color?
Isn't this what we would have to look forward to with health care funded by the government?

Yesterday, I asked "Why have the republicans let down the pro-life (or anti abortion to some) movement?"
I think it is a legitimate question. Why would someone accuse me of being a liberal??
I have been called a "neo con" on here many times by those to the political left of me. So, which am I??
Is name calling all that is left here on y/a politics??
I have asked my fair share of "trolling" questions, but people can't tell a legit question from a troll question here ???

Here is the question for those looking for a "source"

The landscape of America has changed since WWII, and, is attributable, good, bad, or indifferent, by the major corporations. Now, some of you people will see this as a socialist question, which it isn't. Is this the "new world", a sort of faceless appeasing giant of a corporation that has its power and span of control throughout the world with allegiance to no government, or, its people?
