"PC" is seen by most people as a form of prejudice, bias and reverse racism.

PC is a double standard used in the media to advance an ideology.... most people will admit "PC" is wrong and agree "PC" is just another dishonest form of discrimination.

Who benefits from "PC" ? Another way to say it is who benefits from this form of racism, bias, prejudice and wrong doing?

Isn't all bias, all racism, all predjudice, all discrimination wrong? Why do some groups think you can selectively use "PC" to advance their ideology? Doesn't that clearly illustrate that the ideology who supports "PC" is corrupt and morally dishonest?

I got a lot of responses from the liberals, supporting the double standard that entitles them to be biased, racist and prejudiced.

Sorry, socialists but all wrong is wrong, not just the wrong that opposes your ideology. I especiialy liked scipro and avail_ 's- answer- perfect example that if you oppose a liberal's bias, then you are called a racist.

ALL WRONG IS WRONG. Nixon and Clinton were both wrong; Packwood and Clinton were both wrong- get it?

Liberalism is the root cause for political correctness.

PC is a way to guilt people into conforming to what society deems as "acceptable." It doesn't change people's opinions or beliefs, it just changes how they express those views in public. It's a way to censor free speech without actually infringing on first amendment rights. They force you to be shamefull of using your first amendment right. Being a racist or a biggot is not illegal, because you can't outlaw thought....so the result is "PC."

That is so frightening. The government doesn't have to actually take our rights away....we take them away from ourselves!

"Political correctness" is usually an imaginary issue. It's a way for bigots to push back against ideals inclusive of women and minorities. The term itself is another example of the endless, disingenuous, psychotic attack on liberalism.

I have to say I admire the cleverness of the attack. But If you're looking for a justification for the anger of the Left, you won't need to look far.

"I have a woman, a black, two Jews and a cripple." - James Watt, Secretary of the Interior under the Reagan administration.

It isn't often you can get Republicans to be that honest.

Political Correctness started with very good ideals. The goal was to stop using the words that belittled others. Why should we still call people with mental disorders "retards". Shouldn't we get rid of the terms that racially offend (you know the terms I mean)?

The problem is that it spun out of control. Secretaries should be called secretaries. Garbagemen are not sanitation engineers. Etc. and so on.

Like everything else it was a good concept that was taken too far.

PC is very slick media creation by one group to make money by starting organizations. Save Christmas has to go down as most creative non profit ever devised. Can just see some folks skipping meals to come up with money to save Christmas.

I'm sick to death of that expression, along with all the other two-word epithets that people use to lump various ideas together, like "race card", "class war", "special interests" "judicial activism"("ism"'s are always good for name-calling) and "cut and run"(conjuctions don't count).
People stick labels on other people's ideas as a substitute for thinking about the facts or reason behind them.

There is nothing wrong with being genuinely polite, but the disease of "PC" is not genuine. Who benefits? Lawyers. We live in a litigious society and the advent of "PC" opened up a whole new field in which people can claim victim-hood and sue.

i believe the ACLU invented political corectness to make themselves seem more important in the fight against the majority for the rights of the weak, abused, and neglected part of socieity that 'we' labeled: midgets, retards, blacks, cripples, and various other terms youre not supposed to call anyone anymore.

i believe these people didnt really need the ACLU megaphone to scream their injustices because most of them dont really care what you call them. if you call them something wrong, they would correct you. just as if i called someone by the wrong name, they would say no, my name is ______, then i would say, ooh, sorry, and move on! but forcing ppl to be PC is stupid. being PC doesnt benefit anyone. it just makes you seem like a nicer person to people who dont really know you.

I have no idea what you are ranting about. What aspects of political correctness are you concerned about? These rants against political correctness rarely reveal what the diatribe is exactly against.

It is not possible to give a rational response to such vague protestations. If you are arguing for calling ethnic and racial minorities by derogatory names then your rant is absurd and I’m all for political correctness. If you are arguing for something else then explain yourself.
