Scotland isn't independent yet. And Westminster is the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - so Scottish politicians still have every right to be there. :-)

- "Why did we spend almost a billion pounds on a Scottish Parliament when they all still come down to London?"
Totally different! You have no understanding of the very basics.
There are MSP's (Member of the Scottish Parliament) who are only ever in Edinburgh, as they are not "MPs".
And there are MP's - "Members of Parliament" - a place that governs the entire UK and not England.

Believe me, a lot of people in Scotland are seriously unimpressed with the Holyrood building, its cost and the muppets within. Alex Salmond draws a salary as First Minister and a salary as an MP at Westminster. It's a discgrace.

Too keep them quiet, otherwise the government may have had a rebellion on their hands. Scottish MPs should not be allowed to vote on English only matters.

So if you don't want Scottish MPs in Westminster, then you must want Scottish independence. I would rather keep the union together.
btw Allen, if a person is an MP in Westminster and an MSP in Holyrood he can't get the full Westminster salary.

Aye Suzie lass, your stuff is mostly a delight. i'm no longer Scottish yet between you, Craig and Billy, I in specific circumstances desire I have been. via the way Craig says "doughnut" is a term for a "rude" area of the physique, as in ,"raffle yer doughnut" so what's "doughnut hurling"? additionally I "understood" what the Scotsman grew to become into asserting. Does this mean I easily have been gazing the ' late late teach with T.V.'s very own Craig Ferguson" too plenty?

Never mind the vast fortune wasted on the Parliament building.
What about all the other benefits the residents of Scotland get, which are funded from the English purse?
Such as free education, free dental treatment, free spectacles etc!
By the way. Did you notice the 'English' Prime Minister at the Scotland-v-Italy game at Hampden Park?
Will we see him at the England-v-Croatia game at Wembley??

They had plenty of buildings that could have been used but that wouldn't have wasted taxpayers money.
