when in fact women were only able to vote in recent American history? it took America almost 200 years to allow women to vote yet alone hold a position is Government. Funny enough they come across bashing us (saudi's) as if they always possessed freedom for all since the bill of righst was ratified. My country is far far far from being correct on many issues but we are less than a 100 years old. I am confident over time we will change for the better but you have no right to bash us the way you do. Ironically America was founded on democratic values but only gave equal rights to all on paper.

eminembo : Glad you learned your manners this time around. Your point is noted and if you read by post you would understand that we are still living in a dictatorship and have no voice or rights to speak. Likewise, if we could, I am sure womens rights would improve. Noteworthy, that despite us being a dictatorship, we do have women working in our Government and in the private sector.

I never did say I excused them..as a matter of fact, I wish they would kick out the extremist bigots and give them a 1000 lashes for what they did to that poor girl who was raped in the news lately.

A Saudi has no position from which to address women's rights. Fact.

Edit: You love to excuse Saudis. He-he.

Edit: Then I do owe you an apology, sir, and I hope you'll accept it. My best wishes to you. Sincerely.

The genius of Thomas Paine was that he and the rest of the founding revolutionaries, through debate and compromise came up with a document that has the power to include all human beings in equal protection under the law and the pursuit of Life and Liberty.

I wonder why we are inundated with so many people wanting to become citizens? Many of these people risk their lives to live in the U.S.A. However, I do agree that we should not be stationed in the Middle East, and must find ways to harness natural sources, and increase our use of alternative energy, so that we do not have to be dependent on the Middle East....for ANYthing. .

I don't believe anyone thinks this.

But I will agree that many people do tend to "forget" this past. However, a sin in the past of one nation does not forgive the current failings of another.
