Politics - 6 November 2007

The November elections will be over, and all and sundry will be ramping up for the Primaries. With all the squabbling over the date changes, will His Majesty just declare martial law so he can invade Iran at will without the hinderance of the Constitution and the few who are left defending it and not have to worry about will his 'successor' be of like mind?

It seems to me like if an underdog competitor for the G.O.P. nomination stirs up the biggest single fund raising day for a Republican EVER that it might constitute a news article worth reading.

Hillary says “I’m your girl,” now she’s saying the men are sexist?

Politics is a tough business and frankly, if she's having trouble standing up to John "$400 coiffe" Edwards, how will she stand up to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Kim Jung Il?

Is she nutty, or does it depend on what your definition of "is" is?

Let's dish.

Hi.

I'm a new guy to politics, so please don't give me too much jargon or Wikipedia. I think my question doesn't really need much more clarification.

Please may you specify how this relates to Conservatism or indeed Communism.

Short, sweet and simple answers please =D

Thank you,

Should political correctness (so-called) be abolished?

Political correctness is a form of brainwashing or conditioning using manipulative 'inclusive' or 'neutral' language based on the Sapir–Whorf Hypothesis and upon earlier research at the Frankfurt School.

In 1939, FDR issued a plea that all combatant nations refrain from bombing because he saw it as a bad thing.

But, in 1943 FDR started to bomb civilians. Over 600,000 moms, kids, and babies would die in Germany.

"Bomb shelters turned into ovens and roasted persons inside, so that rescue workers days later found the bodies seared together in an indistinguishable mass; the molten asphalt of the streets engulfed those who fled the burning buildings."

Why did FDR burn to death 600,000 Germans and a million or so Japanese?

Is it odd how Dems focus on waterboarding?

2007 is the deadliest year so far for US servicepeople in iraq. Obviously the surge is as much of a failure as the rest of this ill-conceived war.
how long will conservatives keep their heads in the sand and ignore reality while Americans continue to die? when will the republican start supporting our troops?

In his second term he was impeached by the U.S. House [9], but was subsequently acquitted by the United States Senate and remained in office to complete his term.[10] - Wikepedia.
So you must be impeached by both house and senate? And did he have the right to stay if impeached by house and senate?

Conservatives claim to follow good and state that liberals dont follow god and need to rethink their ways. However the things conservatives do questions me. One example of this is that they claim to be religious yet support the death penalty and tougher laws for other crimes instead of believing in some type of punishment but reform. They also tend to support vigilante justice but is contradicting themselves. They tend to be less open minded of people of different ethnicities and cultures. Also alot of them are in the closet like we dont know about such as senator larry craig but vote against gay issues in the public and speak against gays.

Several folks answered my last question stating that the enemy is beheading people and killing by suicide bombers so we should not be bound by restrictions in how we treat prisoners or detainees or combatants.

What do you think?
