This denial has been sustained by deliberate propaganda, lying and cover ups, forging documents, suppression of archives, and bribing scholars.
Other countries know what happened, HELL, EVEN ENGLAND,FRANCE,GERMANY DID!
"In the province of Armenia, Abdul Hamid and the Young Turks had deliberately set
themselves to the simplification of the Armenian difficulty by exterminating and
deporting the whole race, whom they regarded as infidels and traitors." --David Lloyd George Prime Minister of Great Britain (1916-22)
"In 1915 the Turkish Government began and ruthlessly carried out the infamous
general massacre and deportation of Armenians in Asia Minor."
"There is no reasonable doubt that this crime was planned and executed for political
reasons."--Winston S. Churchill
Prime Minister of Great Britain (1940-45, 1951-55)http://books.google.com/books?id=-RHlOg1v8LIC&pg=PA410&ots=LFbprGkBGn&dq=german+newspapers+in+1915+for+armenian+genocide&sig=1IJCRUHYU6cU_LwFfVFYEl3qbVg
And who are the Turks to say WHO CAN'T PLAY THE PITY GAME?
Where Turks go off and massacre Kurds and smile about it.
Why would Armenians, Greeks,s and Kurds lie? Obviously Turkey has done SOMETHING.
one more reason that Turks do not admit to their violent,
crimes, is they will be liable as far as LANDS, wealth who they took by force from us. And they have to pay it back.
AS HITLER SAID WHO CAN REMEMBER AN ARMENIAN.
Hitler gas the Jews to death, Ottomans march the Armenians to there death in desert.
i really want to see who has the balls to say hey holly cost happen when 50 /70 years ago who cares, how come the survivors of the holly cost did get paid back from Germany.
and Germany never denied anything.
it is so totally alright for the holly cost survivors run around and
talk about, what happened to them, but we the ARMENIANS have to forget and forgive.

Wow, you're right on top of things!!!
Pelosi tried this one a month ago to undermine our troops and the Iraq effort at large and SHE had it wrong too!!!
In 1915 the Kurds ruled Turkey. They are now the most oppressed people in the region, especially in Turkey!
Condemning the Kurds now that they've been out of power for several decades for what they did to those who rule NOW is a little disingenuous, don't you think???

A lot of Armenians were killed, certainly. I never really got the impression from history that it was a serious attempt at genocide. A horrific crime against humanity, obviously, but I doubt all the Turks that did it really expected or intended to whipe out every last Armenian.
Anyway, that's going on a hundred years, now, no one who killed Armenians in 1915 is alive today, so it's just another lesson to learn from history, not something to hold against anyone, today.

Hi!
This has been covered extensively in the news, because some in the U.S. government thought this would be a *great* time to pass a resolution condemning the genocide by the Ottoman Turks.
I like to eat peanut butter and cream cheese sandwiches, too! AND, I am also *very, very (very) sorry* for the slaves that were forced to work and live in America, whose enslavement ended long before any of my ancestors moved here legally from Ireland!

yes and Stalin killed 50 million, Mao killed more than Hitler did, Hitler killed 11 million, I'm sure the roman empire killed more that all the rest combined, the English empire killed millions as well, so did the Greeks and the Persians, and our ancestors killed a butt load of Indians so lets all pay,
or we can recognize the fact that nobody alive today has committed genocide and if someone does we remove them i.e. Malosovich and Saddam Hussein

This Genocide you reference took place under the Ottoman Empire. Strangely, the Armenians who lived in Constantinopal and in other parts of the empire were not slaughtered. There is nothing to pay for and no one alive today that was responsible to pay it. Next you'll tell me the US should pay the Indians for removing them and building our nation.

And we should have cared about it 100 years ago.
Now is not the right time. We need Turkey as a pipeline to our troops.
Why do we always want to bring up history at the most inopportune times?
Great going.
