It seems to me like if an underdog competitor for the G.O.P. nomination stirs up the biggest single fund raising day for a Republican EVER that it might constitute a news article worth reading.

Zero Chance according to who? The problem with preemptively guessing an election is that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Obviously a lot of people want Ron Paul to get the nomination . Maybe if news organizations would give him the time of day he could get his message out. If you took the time to read his platform you'd likely agree with him. Don't write him off a year before the election even takes place.

captaino. A third of a million people are dead and were talking about getting into war with yet another sovereign nation (Iran) because of Bush's "Foreign Policy". Maybe what we need is some real diplomacy, not sabre rattling and idle threats.
davidmi, Dismantle this country? You mean dismantle it's bloated, ineffective and oppressive government perhaps. You need to clarify what you mean by 'country'. Last I looked Ron Paul wanted to restore my privacy and liberty and I'm part of this country too.

He's being treated by the Republican party the same way Bush treats his critics..........I put my fingers in my ears and sing lah lah lah ......I don't see you, so you don't exist.......lah, lah, lah...........
The only problem is, after the Primaries, the party will come hat in hand looking for that money. Then they will want to know him.

I don't know, I've heard a great deal about it today on MSNBC. Here's what I'm hearing: That he raised a record amount of money in a short time. That though it is a huge amount of money, it is still not enough to mount a successful Presidential campaign. That it's an amount of money better suited to running for governor or the senate. That it shows that he has a loyal following, though a relatively small one in comparison to the rest of candidates. That if he uses this money smartly in New Hampshire that he might be able to come in third in that state since N. H. voters tend to like those who are anti-government and anti-war. That unfortunately that will not be enough to propel him to a real shot at the nomination. None of this is my opinion and is all commentary I have heard regarding this just today.

The Dem and Rep candidates are essentially the same, except for Ron Paul. The globalists can't risk him winning He may have some more radial ideas, like getting rid of the IRS, but at least he understands separation of powers enough to not try and get his ideas through on his own. He's the only one that doesn't want to be an authoritarian dictator.

I have seen this report at least 5 times in different sources... Seriously, what do you want?????? Do you want the government to name this day a holiday and close the banks and the postal service? Or maybe we can force the media to NOT report anything but this story (and suspend all commericials)... Pakistan? It can wait for tomorrow we just need to mention more that Ron Paul just made 4-5 million in a day!!!!!
Listen, this is a story but it is not under-reported. Not at all.

There were a few news articles written about him.
There's a video and ABC article that I saw, among several.

People like davidmi711 are so brainwashed by neocons that he thinks Ron Paul will 'dismantle' the country. The only thing he will dismantle are the ones that are corrupting the country and eating the foundations and the pillars that hold up the constitution of the country like termites. Pest control is in order.

It’s kind of odd and kind of fitting that the Paulians chose Guy Fawkes Day. Fawkes was a terrorist who tried blowing up the king and Parliament to overthrow the government. The Paulians seem to think of themselves as insurgents against the more establishment candidates, but the fact is if Paul’s foreign and security policies were to be implemented, a whole lot of stuff is likely to get blown up.
Even if *shudder* Ron Paul were to win the White House, exactly who in Congress would support anything he tried to do….Who would support closing the IRS and the CIA?
Small government is good…. No government, not so much.

Of course, political cowards don't like the idea of people knowing that there is a trutful Republican named Dr. Ron Paul. But I hope and pray that Ron Paul will win the Republican nomination, and that Kucinich will win the Democrat nomination, please God.

I would rather see articles that show why a candidate is a good choice for president. I could care less how much money they have, that does not make them better suited to lead this country. Ron Paul wants to dismantle this country. No thanks, I'll pass.
