Abortion is muder. A fetus is a form of life. Saying you are pro choice is the same thing as saying the murder is not wrong.

Do Conservatives really think that "liberals" are the only ones who have abortions?

Here's your source Ruth, since you're so anal about having one.

It will be a long time. We don't abort our unborn.

Did that ever happen in history? So if a president dies the vice president takes over, but then who becomes the vice president?

Every time you point how Bush has broken the law, lied, etc., cons invariably scream "But Billy did such and such!" in response.

Did that excuse get you out of being punished when you were in grade school, to point out that a classmate did the same thing?

No, it didn't.

Is this how cons show that they're all about personal responsibility?

To all of you who boast that because the military is meeting it's recruitment goals it means there is support for the Iraq occupation, what about this? Lowering the standards is the only way to accomplish qoutas?

I know it sounds cool to use the term "Neo-Con" these days, but it's getting really absurd since most people who use the term have no idea what it means.

Is the same true for "Neo-Libs"?

Seriously, the Democratic Party isn't providing any satisfactory leadership on any of the big issues: war, restoring the Constitution, Justice Department. I'm tired of throwing my time, energy and yes, money - behind the Democrats and having them consistently let me down.

I want a third party - but really? the greens, Libertarians?

So - serious discussion only, please. I don't want to hear from the idiot right, because I don't agree with you. Period. Your politics are admirable - you have played a kick-butt game for the last 6 years - but your policies and behavior are repugnant.

Where does a liberal, sensible and aware voter turn?

Here is the relevant statute language:

A person is guilty of an offense if he intentionally—
(1) engages in electronic surveillance under color of law except as authorized by statute; or
(2) discloses or uses information obtained under color of law by electronic surveillance, knowing or having reason to know that the information was obtained through electronic surveillance not authorized by statute.

Notwithstanding any other law, the President, through the Attorney General, may authorize electronic surveillance without a court order under this subchapter to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year if the Attorney General certifies in writing under oath that—

there is no substantial likelihood that the surveillance will acquire the contents of any communication to which a United States person is a party;

Bush authorized warrantless wiretapping of communications to which US persons were parties.

How is this NOT a crime???

- It seems a lot of Republicans took to heart Obama's statement in his rousing speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention that "there is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America." -

if only it was as easy as picking one party or the other, but not wanting to limit myself to one groups thoughts, i cant do that. I am not registered as a democrat OR republican, but independant. Does anyone know a place that i can figure out exactly which candidate matches most of my views?

Its tough because i am against most of the social ideas of the democratic party (im against welfare and i dont think gays have the right to marriage) but im also against certain things republicans tend to support (war, centralized government, more federal power)
