My God, IF it ever came out that President Bush knowingly condoned torturing people, who gave him bogus terrorist plots to trumpet before the American people as being "Tough on Terrorism", I think you would see protest marches, and demands for impeachment of both the President and the VP. That or we would need to remove them both from office, as being both mentally and morally unfit to occupy their respective positions, and prefer criminal charges against them, if a closed Grand Jury does find probable cause a crime or crimes were committed.

I'm saying IF.

Honestly, I don't watch CNN, MSNBC, Fox, or any of the others. They all scream too much and that harshes my tranquility. When I want news, I watch Headline News. Yeah, I know it's still CNN, but it's as distilled a news program as you're going to get: none of the others are as "commentary-free".

So these kinds of commentary are relatively new to me: I know who Olberman is, from reading his "Shame of the Week" or whatever he calls it when he going after Limbaugh for some nonsense Limbaugh's spouting at the moment, on MediaMatters.org. (BTW, has anyone been able to explain WHY the right hates MediaMatters so much? I know RUSH does, they record every word he says on the air and use his insanity against him: but no one has yet been able to tell me WHY MediaMatters is bad, because they record everything rightwing "pundits" say and pointout their various inconsistencies?), but I typically view ANY on-air political commentator as a narcissitic snake oil salesman, to be viewed with at least a smuch suspicion as politicians themselves.

But Olberman makes a LOT of sense. And Mr. Bush, it is a damn good thing the Democratic Congress you have now is not as investigation-hungry and vindictive as the Republican Congress Clinton had, or you WOULD be under investigation on a litany of charges, from wiretaps which ignored FISA oversight (even before the Patriot Act), to forming new intelligence agencies for the sole purpose of re-inserting bogus intelligence about nuclear weapons in Iraq in the US "intel stream".

No, I don't say it invalidates anything. But considering it is sweeps month and everyones trying to get good ratings, and bashing bush is a great way to get ratings. It seems like a corporate make-up that was used to bring in the money. I do agree with some things he says though and I'm an extreme-conservative. I'll be the first to tell you that.

Absolutely. I hate that our administration is willing to stoop down to the low levels of our terrorist enemies in order to gather information.
