Absolutely! It should have happened in 1812.....
Canadians would get a real wake up when they realized how oppressed & overtaxed we are compared to our American neighbours.
It would be in the interest of both nations to trade/fight under one banner!

NO! Some politician in Ottowa has no idea what life is like in Texas. The U.S. is a sovereign nation.

We won't merge with Canada. Many Conspiracy Theorists think that's happening, but there's no proof.

I'd be interested in annexing Canada...as long as their states became new U.S. States...but no merging. They can annex and become U.S. Citizens, but no merging.

How would that work? Would Canada abandon the Monarchy and cease being a Commonwealth country, or would we have to accept the Monarchy and become a Commonwealth country, and replace all the portraits on our money with portraits of the Queen?

No. Even equal partners would have to give up sovereignty to truly merge and I am not in favor of any situation in which the USA gives up sovereignty.

This is actually a great & logical idea. Whole of north america=1 country. Both nations global power would increase. But it would be difficult to realise.
