That's tantamount to saying I support my Doctor but not the treatment, I support the teacher but not her work, I support the farmer but not the food, I support the electric company but not the electricity.
Does anybody see how silly that statement is?

Let's review the facts.

Republican political campaigns have compared war veteran Max Cleland to Osama bin Laden and Sadaam Hussein, and dragged war veteran John Kerry's name through the mud. These Republicans were both elected.

Republican Senators killed a Democratic bill to give our troops more time at home after serving overseas. Twice. Also bills attempting to bring troops home.

The Republican president sent our troops into the Iraq War on falsified evidence and had no post-war plan. Subsequently our troops are stuck in the middle of a civil war.

Liberal MoveOn made the General Betray Us ad in poor taste. The Senate (mostly Republicans therein) condemn this ad.

Now Republican Rush Limbaugh says that any troops who criticize the war are "phony troops". Republicans do not condemn this statement.

Republicans seem to think that as long as they say they support the troops, it doesn't matter what else they do. Do you think they talk the talk but don't walk the walk?

From accepting rich donations from that poor Chinese criminal, Hsu.

To having Sandy Berger guiding her in her presidential campaign.

" Berger, who 'fessed up to filching classified terror-related documents from the National Archives in 2003, got slapped with a $50,000 fine, probation, and lost his security clearance.

Berger later admitted to investigators that he swiped sensitive documents on several occasions, stashing them in his clothes and taking them home preceding hearings by the Sept. 11 commission."

If this was a republican accepting money from a criminal and tried to donate it and act innocent they would still be told to resign and tried. recall Jack Abramoff? Why is no one demanding for Hillary to resign? She seems to be doing far worse with full knowledge of doing so!

I read and hear ALL THE TIME that Democrats of today represent the evil nanny state eroding America's freedoms and ready to take her in the direction of socialist/communist regimes. Well, putting aside the excess of inflammatory political doscourse this really represents, do any of you KNOW people that lived through these regimes?

I have associates that came of age and were young adults in pre perastroika Russia. It was awful.

Entire region's populations were moved without warning to different locations; discussing or practicing religion was held in a sort of unacceptable social disdain so few dared to do so; entire educational areas of SCIENTIFIC study were thwarted and not even allowed at university; news media reported nothing but feel good stories on its leaders; the vast majority of Russians did not know nuclear weapons existed (!!!); one never spoke of the government as "ears were everywhere"; at times, family members simply disappeared to be never heard from...

I asked about the wiretaping. Seems pretty obvious to me, its why Alberto resigned in disgrace, the conservatives should just say huh good point and leave it at that.

But they spin this with "democrats would leak it to the terrorists".

Hello!!!!!!!

Scooter Libby. Convicted of . .

leaking

Thanks.

You all have a good day. I'm out of questions.

major factor in the Iraq war? While the US Iraq study group stated that the Israeli-Arab conflict had to be resolved before there can be an resolution/peace in Iraq or the Mideast.

I wonder why both groups omit something that is so obvious to ending & winning the war in Iraq?

1967 Arab-Israeli War lasted 6 days. How did a really small country like Israel manhandle Jordan, Egypt and Syria. The nations of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Algeria also contributed troops and arms to the Arab forces.

All these Islamic countries were beat by tiny Israel in just 6 short days!

I just don't think they get it.

Every Democrat that I know has said that they would never vote for Hillary. Yet the mainstream press has Hillary in the lead over Obama? I am beginning to wonder if the press is simply in bed with Hillary and ignoring Obama at any cost? Every DEM I know is voting for Obama and I have seen this same sentiment everywhere on the internet.

In two new excellent books, The Future of Conservatism, and, Democratic Capitalism, published by ISI (conservative think tank in DC, the first one, when William F. Buckley was still yet a lad), In the later, writer Brian Anderson stresses that if capitalism and democracy are left unchecked, anomie (means a condition or malaise in individuals, characterized by an absence or diminution of standards or values), dependency, and ruthless egalitarianism corrodes souls and society, alike. What do you think?

So the Dems are POed about their representatives not stopping this garbage, why aren't the Republicans POed that their representatives would even consider spying on them? How is this minimal government? How is knowing what nudie pictures Americans look at on the internet going to stop terrorists? How much does the government have to become Big Brother before Republicans, the voters not the representatives, get mad about being spied on in their own homes?

Is he serious ?

I mean, come on. If the US invaded Pakistan without Pakistan's "permission", don't you think an even larger war would follow. Considering the fact that right now, the US is fighting terrorist cells and not doing that well, what makes him think he could take on a million-strong Pakistani army?

Aside from that, the international response would be atrocious. How would the UK view the States if they invaded a Commonwealth country?- Queen Elizabeth is the "Queen of Pakistan" after all. Oh and you'd piss of Canada, but thats not very important...

Who here SERIOUSLY thinks that Obama is willing to invade yet another soverign nation, fight an even bloodier war and deal with the consequences?
