I've heard of this, but don't really understand what it is. What are the pros and cons? How would it differ from a capitalist democracy? I'm not for or against, just want to know.

How can I convince people that communism is not "good in theory"? I hear this crap all the time in my political science class and its driving me nuts. Communism is NOT good in theory or in any other circumstance, but I am unsure how to convince others of this fact.

It is a bad idea for a minority to rule over a majority.

We're talking more of in government rather than teams in a job.

As most intelligent & well informed people know, OBL (may a million sand fleas infest his crotch and his arms be too short to scratch them) is a small fish in a big pond who will be replaced within hours by another Muslim hell bent on killing Americans (military or not) and destroying the West in general.

Furthermore, this cry to capture OBL is nothing more than a cry for revenge and not for a tactical advantage (other than for info acquired through conventional persuasive measures) and revenge for any reason leads straight down that road to evil.

Therefore, is not the cry of those who claim that President Bush has not captured him nothing more than a weak attempt at attacking and discrediting President Bush?

Or have you developed your opinion by listening to the "Drive-by Media"? BTW, we Rush listeners are *not* "mind-numbed robots" as some have accused - he simply articulates what we already believe & has a nationwide forum to do so! He's often taken out of context or otherwise misquoted by *most* TV broadcast & cable & satellite networks. Radio Free America failed miserably so the only left-wing mouthpieces for the prominent so-called "Progressives" *(AKA known as Libs or Dems), whose philosophy is closer to Socialism or Communism, are the "mainstream", AKA, the "Drive-by" media! Rush gives libs & others a chance to express their opinions & doesn't doctor the actual sound bites he airs, except he has to repeat questions himself since legally he cannot air the voices of newscasters or other talk show hosts!

I'm reposting my quest. because it went up for vote, without my go ahead! I picked Rodrigo as best answerer before & invite him to repost along with others who wish to answer.

Here's a quote from Bush:

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."

He said this on 3/13/02, only 6 MONTHS after the 9/11 attacks! I guess this quote proves that Bush never placed much importance on getting justice for 3,000 people who were burned to death.

In the New York Times today, there was an article about how Obama came up with a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to levels it had been in 1990. He wants businesses to pay for greenhouse gases they emit by buying allowances to pollute. If he is elected, by 2050, he wants to reduce emissions to 80 percent below the levels of 1990. However, this has come after criticism of him supporting Bush's bill energy bill in 2005 and advocating Illinois' coal industry. If elected, do you think Obama would really strive to acheive this goal, or is it another empty promise aimed to gather support of voters?

Today is the 40th anniversary of the death of Che Guevara. He is seen by many people around the world as a martyr and hero of the revolucion. You can still see his most famous picture on t-shirts all over.

How do you feel about Che? Do you think his legacy continues? Do you think he is still relevant?

Or do you think he is overrated and history?

or

Is it because of the dictatorial aspirations of Republican cowboys who like to send other people's children to their deaths....

Bush pretended to go to war in Afghanistan but stopped fighting and let Bin Laden go free. Then he went to war in Iraq which was exactly what Bin Laden wanted. In so doing, Bush increased the power and influence of Al Qaida and increased the chances of new Al Qaida attacks. Bin Ladens goal was to interfere with the freedoms enjoyed in our Democracy. Boy, he sure succeeded! The Patriot Act, wire tapping, torture. And as a bonus, Bin Laden sits back and smiles as Bush drives our country into bankruptcy.

Impeachment? How about a trail for murder? Unlike Bush, I do not believe in the death penalty.

Well the supreme court dealt the friends of our enemies a blow today by allowing us to continue sending our enemy combatants abroad for questioning.
This is only a small victory we still are at war with the combatants and the ACLU. Let's pray for a total victory against both.
Is this a happy day for you also?
