He sounds like a "liberal" to them when it comes to issues of war. They put him in the same category as the war protesters because he says we were attacked because of our meddling in Mideast affairs.

He also actually thinks that the measures taken by the Bush administration to combat terrorism should have been done through normal governmental procedures instead of in secret. Bush has ignored the Constitution and seems to think it just gets in his way. The far right also has no understanding of the purpose of the Constitution.

No. I do not like Ron Paul for other reasons but never for the support of the constitution.

Ron Paul isn't on anyone's radar at all. The far right doesn't hate him anymore than the far left...that is, the bleeding hearted liberal media, hates him. He just doesn't amount to a hill of beans when it comes to a reasonable chance to get elected. His staunch support of the US Constitution is misleading, what he staunchly supports is his interpretation of the US Constitution, just like everyone else.

The people in power of both parties dislike Ron Paul because he's doing what he can to expose them. He knows that they're stripping our rights away and he's telling us about it. He's also fighting to return our individual freedoms and wants a return to adhering to the Constitution. That's what the elitists hate.

- He's not the answer to all of our problems, but he's a good start.
- He's not an isolationist, he just doesn't think that we should go around the world promoting our way of life through force like an empire.
- And I'm not sheeple, I think for myself. I started out wanting to support Fred Thompson, but he seems too lazy and unmotivated in the race. I did research on Ron Paul and found him to the candidate most in line with my views. Research for yourself, then make your own decisions. Even if you don't agree with me, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. http://www.ontheissues.org/Ron_Paul.htm
- He's not a kook, lunatic, nutjob, wacko, etc. He promotes individual freedom and more responsible spending by our federal government. If you or I live beyond our means, we'd go bankrupt, and eventually, so will our country.

No, it's not that. Although today's republicans have the least regard for our constitution they've ever had.
It's the war.
The far right can see through the Iraq war far enough to see that we are at war with the Islamo-fascists not Iraq.
Ron won't admit it. The idea of isolationism didn't work in the past and it surely won't work now. That time has passed.

I absolutely would vote for Ron Paul if he would just face the facts about radical Islam.

Too bad. It's an opportunity lost. I think he'd have a real chance otherwise.

No, I personally dislike Ron Paul because to many of his followers are the conspiracy guessers who push science fiction as fact in order to promote hatred in the USA.
