Excellent point. That happens both ways. I was actually called a Republican when I pointed out a Hillaryism. Neo-cons always call me a liberal when I speak out against Bush.

Uh, you've actually pointed out to each of the tens of millions of liberals in the U.S. that they may be wrong, and ALL of them called you a neo-con?

Where DID you find the time?

When we of the left say anything at ALL, there are plenty on the right who call us terrorists and Islamo-fascists.

But THAT'S OK, right?

If you think the only names (or worst names) are tossed out only from the left, you can't read.

Probably for the same reason that when someone points out to a conservative they may be wrong, they assume that the person is a liberal.

I didn't use the word always as you did because that would be lying because I know that not all believe that but most probably do.

I have noticed that if you really want some insight into the thinking of the other side, you get a better response when you don't ask the question as if you are addressing an idiot who couldn't possibly say anything that makes any sense anyway. You're just likely to get meaningless responses and labeled as one thing or another by asking accusatory questions.

I think it is because when one points out a fact to a liberal that wasn't shown on CNN they automatically think it is a lie. Unfortunately time and again the media has been busted showing biases yet people continue to accept it. Until we have unbiased media (and yes FOX is biased the other way) Liberals will believe any talking point that goes against a Conservative.

That only happens when you attempt to defend your position using neo-con talking points verbatim.

Probably what you are witnessing is the intense polarization of the American populace, which was summoned up by the closet Satanism of Karl Rove for some vague political end which seems to have been lost in the mists of time, and which was fostered by Bush ('you're either with us or against us" AND "there is no compromise on this issue", etc etc.)

The death of dialogue and bi-partisanship in America.

I don't know. They must not be interested in debating or discussing a point of differing opinion because they are taught they are always right.

Labels are the liberals stock in trade! Surely you know that by now. I'd be all about the labels if I couldn't reason anything out, too.
