Here's a quote from Bush:

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."

He said this on 3/13/02, only 6 MONTHS after the 9/11 attacks! I guess this quote proves that Bush never placed much importance on getting justice for 3,000 people who were burned to death.

bin laden is bush's friend.
he gave him the justification to get into afghanstan then iraq,
he wants him to carry on showing in video tapes to scare the americans , and send more troops ,and spend more billions on his wars against his own enemies.
laden is bush's excuse . whenever the scene is quiet , laden appears to remind the world of 9/11.
so, bush couldnt be keen on capturing laden , on the contrary, he allowed him to slip out in a lorry from afghanstan.

I honestly do not know why he took his eye off of Bin Laden and instead invaded Iraq. That has got to be the unanswered question of the decade.

I suspect, it has a hell of a lot more to do with oil and gun running, considering we sell, at the very least, 35% of the worlds arms according to a 2005 congressional study, and some independent studies put that at up to 60%.

Plus, if we are so concerned about Bin Laden, why did we invade an oil rich country? Why don't we invade countries that do horrible things to its people, that don't have natural resources we need? Why not N Korea, or hell, the Southern Philippines that gives the Muslim there virtually no say in the country and even persecutes them.

If one looks at this pragmatically, then it all adds up pretty simply. On the other hand, partisans either want to believe all that is wrong, or all that is right, but can't seem to balance and come to a common sense solution.

The other thing that really bothers me, is most people in the USA have no idea what Bin Laden is pizzzzed off about. We have been told over and over again, its because they want to destroy our way of life. Does it ever occur to most, that has nothing to do with it, that its the other way around? That we are slowly destroying their lives through propping up repressive governments so they can pump their country dry in 100 years.

People like Bin Laden and most anyone who is critical of what the USA is doing in the middle east, is ignored, even though they have been saying for decades that we need to listen. We don't, so that breeds more hatred, more Bin Ladens, more death and destruction. In essence, we are trying to act like a bad parent to the rest of the world, especially those that are the least well off, and those people in retaliation are having temper tantrums.

I really don't blame them.

Peace

Jim

For Bush, and company, the war against terrorism has always been a war against those people who are threats. Was bin Laden a significant threat on 3/13/02? No, he was on the run and so we turned to another threat in the world. The result of poor policy planning made it so that we removed the perceived threat to us but since we had taken our eye off the ball, is bin Laden a threat today? Yes. Even more so than on September 11th (Read Gilles Kepel's Jihad for this argument).

Given the policies of the last 4 or 5 years it's enough to make one wonder. I think he should have made that his top priority. And I will say this all effort should and must be made to take him alive. Put him on trial in a world court, bring the people he has injured, blinded and the relatives of those he has killed and maimed to testify against him in front of the whole world especially the muslim faithful for whom he had no regaurd. Sh ow the world a murderer not a martyr. T4

He was not interested in capturing Bin Laden at all. He just wanted us (America),to fell that he was doing some sort of justice. That he really cared about the safety and well-being of our country. George Bush does'nt display any signs of sympathy what-so-ever. He said he did'nt know about the 9-1-1 attack,or the Katrina disaster. He said he "heard about them over the radio!. (What?). I can't wait until that clown is no longer President anymore!.

i don't understand ... how come invoice Clinton did not placed a lot attempt to seize Osama Bin weighted down even as he got here upon out he replaced into responsible for the bombing of the united statesCole and the first attack on the commerce centers? And even as we are at it, how about asking why Clinton freed the terrorist that finally led the attack on the commerce centers on 9/11? formerly you ask a question designed to incite human beings you would possibly want to favor to analyze your info so that you do not seem ignorant. My 2 cents.

of course not. Bin Laden probably only came into the equation so Bush could take extra time to figure out how he was going to go about invading Iraq.

Bush has as much interest in capturing Bin Laden as OJ does in finding "the real killer".

Absolutely not.

The Bush and bin Laden families are business partners. Boy George would never do anything to uspet the family business.
