I wouldn't be surprised if they followed Osama's advice for some nice, fresh greenbacks.

Al Qaeda has a 'special' reason for 'asking' us to convert . In fact that reason is listed in their manifestos .

Just a little 'Al Qaeda Pop-Quiz' .

Do You Know Why Al Qaeda Sometimes 'Asks' Us To Convert?

Bin Laden urges Americans to convert
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070907/ap_on_re_mi_ea/bin_laden_video

"It is their custom to extend their enemies the chance to convert, before launching an attack. Therefore, if he makes this offer, it is code for his cells to prepare to act. Your thoughts?"

Just found out my best friend's brother is coming home from his third tour in Iraq. He gave his legs and the vision in one eye for our country.

War supporting Republicans: You say you support the troops. You say that you are more charitable than Libs. What do you really do to support the troops?
So who's gonna pitch in to help him modify his home and care for his family ( two children 2 and 7)? Who's gonna give him a job?

Thank you for your service Sean! Wecome home.....

PS After this morning's news, I am hardly in the mood for smart *** responses.

This sounds like it could've happened to anybody? He did not actually solicit sex. He did plead guilty but I have heard the interrogation tapes and it sounds like he really had no choice. The officer was telling him that the easiest way to get out of it without going to court was to plead guilty and pay a fine. Sen. Craig kept telling him that all he wanted to do was use the bathroom. I feel sorry for the guy because now he is being forced to retire! It just sounds ridiculous to me that someone can be arrested for tapping their foot! He wasn't caught in the act afterall. Is this his only incident?

...by saying the Bin Laden tape is a fake, even if they think it's real? Why give bin Laden a media victory? It's not like he'll be saying anything important, why let him use us?

I don't think so -- something tells me Kosher won't make it here. Besides, the beard thing is a bit much, and I'd get mustard all over my mustache, even if I could still consumer hot dogs.

Do the users here at yahoo have any reasons to expect accountability out of politicians? Most here take no responsibility for their actions, yet expect it from a politician.

I have a problem wondering about the paint on the childrens spoons, plates, etc. A problem about what is in the metal of the appliances. Or the non scratch surfaces on no stick pans. Since the are produced with toxic chemicals. And in the plastics. And the non flamable additives in our plastics & clothing.

Don't you think that the US companies having these products made in China be responsible for any possible safety hazards of them? Sort term & long term?

Whether some of you Republicans want to believe it or not there was a large part of the Democrat party who completely opposed Bill Clinton after he approved NAFTA that GHW Bush implemented and also wanted him impeached after it was proved that he perjured himself and that he infringed on the constitution with warrantless search and seizures!!!!!!

When will more of you realize that what this administration is doing is wrong and dangerous for several different reasons.

1. Breaking International treaties!
2. Infringing on the constitution with warrantless foreign and DOMESTIC wiretapping programs!
3. Invading Iraq without approval of the United Nations....while at the same time using the United Nations Iraqi resolutions as a reason for the invasion. So is the U.N. relevant or only when you want it to be?
4. Purposefully outing a CIA officer. How many other officers were jeopardized because of this?

This is just off the top of my head.

Which is more important here?

problem allowing the government to pry into the intimate details of their physical and mental health with the Nationalized Health Care Program? And then give further power to them to dictate what is in your best intrests medically.... Unless you are a suspected terrorist... which one allows greater access to your personal and private information? Even if you are a suspected terrorist or even if that evil Bush administration tapped your line illegally (not that they care to, stop the paranoia).... would you rather the government know what you talked about on the phone in the last week or all of your personal health details?

Okay, assuming all the hate and insults has had it day and all the 'lib-tards' 'Demon-crats' and all forms of social democrats who even thought to sully the name of GWB have been purged from Politics and Government. (Hey, I know you would really like to wish death on them, but be realistic, getting them off P&G is a 'major' deal)...What next? do you chase them to Current Events, Religion and Spirituality? Do you stay put in P&G and have a mutual admiration society?

The fact that there can be an argument about Bush winnng the election for his first term in office is a slap in the face to the American people. How do we know that our votes really count? Is computerizing the system a step in the right direction? Isn't easier to alter computerized results?

Two conflicting views in USAToday:

http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2007/09/our-view-on-edu.html#uslPageReturn
EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
The 5-year-old No Child Left Behind law is up for renewal this month, and its fate is uncertain despite notable success.

President Bush's signature domestic achievement has brought accountability to school districts that for decades shamefully buried their failures in grossly understated dropout rates and vastly overstated academic achievement. Scores of inner-city schools have improved dramatically.

http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2007/09/opposing-view-1.html#more
EXCERPT FROM ARTICLE:
NCLB has failed. It has failed our schools, it has failed our teachers and it has failed our children.

The Bush administration claims victories, but upon closer scrutiny it becomes clear that the White House is simply dressing up ugly data with fancy political spin. Far from leaving no child behind, President Bush seems to have left reality behind.

Well, the shock and awe that so many neo-cons were so proud of killed over 200,000 innocent Iraqis.... WOMEN, CHILDREN, GRANDMOTHERS, GRANDFATHERS.... and
some were expecting the people to greet us with 'roses and flowers'.... unbelieveable arrogance.
