I know the liberals politicians don't, but what about the liberal public?
It seems they would rather see defeat, to get one of their own in the oval office.

If everybody around the world made a joint decision and united together and did not go to work. Do you think world leaders would then have to take its populations requests seriously. i.e Fix world hunger, stop pointless wars, give you an education not based on your financial status, provide houseing for the homeless, put more financial resources into medicine etc

So American citizens bought into a Democratic Congress- why haven't they accomplished a thing? I am not so illiterate about politics to believe that Bush has that much power? What the heck are they doing? IF Bush has that much power to hold a whole country at a stand still, sign me up for President!

I believe America needs a good THIRD party, since both of our current parties seem to favor ILLEGAL immigration. What do you think? Is our country becoming the world's garbage can while traditional AMERICAN values are being trashed? Everyone's opinion is welcome here!

Please keep race, ethnicity and country of origin out of this debate. We are talking about AMERICAN LAW here. Americans first, Americans forever! Looking forward to hearing from you!

Why is this even an issue in the Presidential Debates? This issue will never be resolved. We'll never reach an agreement no matter who is in office, be it Mit Romney, Rudy G., Hillary, Obamma, or the Santa Claus. Why can't we not even discuss it and get on to REAL issues like the war, oil, ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, terrorism? These things are far more important, atleast to me anyway.

Obama said he'll have to wait until Bonds hits one more home run before he can make a decision on whether he'd invite him to the White House as President. After hitting 755 home runs. and with only 1 more home run to hit, you would think that Obama could make up his mind on Bonds.
Guess not.
But there are a few decisions He has ALREADY made. 1 - he will never use nuclear weapons under any circumstance. 2 - he will attack our ally Pakistan over the objection of its President.

This Bonds thing has him stumped............. unbelievable.

I'm trying to understand your mindset. If I want to buy something, no matter what it is, I either save for it or work harder for it. In either case, I benefit society by being self-sufficient.

It seems liberals take the position that other, richer people should pay for the things they want. So, if they want better unemployment benefits or healthcare benefits, it should come from society in general. For rich libs, the increase in taxes never impacts their lifestyle. For poor libs, the increase in benefits always outweighs the increase in taxes. What is the reasoning behind this?

people who can afford to goto the doctor and get antibiotic, or those who can't?

If the rate of contact between people who can afford health care, and the people who can't goes down by extending Healthcare access to those who can't afford it, do you think that your chances of getting sick from them would decrease, and reduce your own medical expenses?

The nation as a whole is more conservative than it is liberal and it seems that the leading candidates are very liberal. If the party wants to win the election, then they should back a candidate that is more conservative. I understand that most of the media supports those liberal candidates that they like to push down are throats, but you would think that the party would realize it needs to become more conservative. What are your thoughts?

Incredible Shrinking Bush Deficit?
Incredible Shrinking Bush Deficit And the new Democrat deficit. The Treasury Department’s tax-collection data for April puts the federal deficit over the 12-month period ending April 30 at $144.7 billion. This leaves the deficit at about one percent of GDP, and declining, which is not a significant economic problem. The decline is due to surging tax revenues from a booming economy. The deficit is down about $120 billion, or 45 percent, since last April. It has declined by $309 billion, or 68 percent, over the last three years from the peak of $455 billion in April, 2004. This experience shows that combining pro-growth tax cuts with just moderate spending restraint can sharply reduce, and, indeed, eliminate the deficit. The deficit has declined now for 26 consecutive months and will continue to do so over the next 5 months until the end of the fiscal year. The deficit will consequently soon be well below one percent of GDP. Even with some modest slow down in economic growth, this deficit could be eliminated over the next two years with reasonable restraint in the growth of federal spending. But any such reasonable restraint in spending is not going to happen with the new Democrat Congress. Their emerging budget plan calls for even more rapid increases in federal spending, sopping up all projected increases in revenues, which will leave no scope for continued deficit reduction in the next fiscal year. They tout a plan to eliminate the remaining rapidly shrinking deficit over a ridiculous five years, and that only with tax increases. Starting this fall, therefore, Democrats will be harping on a deficit which was rapidly falling toward extinction, but which they chose instead to sustain and perpetuate with excessive spending increases. Tax revenues this fiscal year are running at about 19 percent of GDP, which is in line with historical averages over the last 50-plus years, showing there is no justification for a tax increase. But the Democrats’ plan for history-shattering tax increases starting in the next fiscal year, to support record-setting increases in spending. Their long-term budget plan is for truly massive increases in taxes and spending, like nothing ever seen before. Those conservative commentators who argued last year that Democrats would be better at fiscal discipline than the Republicans played a major role in bringing down the Republican congressional majorities. They are being proved quite wrong. Now just wait until you hear about the Democrat plans for entitlements.

George Bush seems to think we can win the war on terror basically by hunting down the top leaders, insurgents, etc. and killing them. What a stupid plan from a stupid man. We should spend our money on intelligence and go on the defensive end to prevent attacks. By waging war physically all we are doing is creating hatred toward the US and breeding new terrorists.
