there are some of you who think that the twin deficits are a sign of a strong economy because it encourages growth. but doesnt america have to pay for that growth? it appears that america's economy is "growing" but on the basis on credit, not on real money. america is using money that doesnt exist. I wonder where america's real economic growth stands nowadays taking into consideration the huge amount of debt it is in. of course, some debt is tolerable, but where's the limit?

that they are completly irrational about it? I saw a few conservatives on here claim that the budget surplus that clinton had when he left office was due to Reagan, who left office 12 YEARS before, they actually believe this. They cannot admit he did anything right and the things he did do they give credit to someone else which makes no kinda sense. Reagan DIDN'T balance the budget, clinton did. to say otherwise just shows ignorance.

They also blame 9/11 on him, it's a sad day when the siting president doesn't have control over the country but I guess on 9/11 Bush didn't, clinton did. No mater Clinton's percieved mistakes it's the height of stupidity to place the blame for 9/11 on him, he MAY share the responsibilty but Bush was in office, wheres his blame?

Or is expecting rational thought and discussion from republicans too much?

They seem to be so big on civil rights and there was a time when the civil rights movement (rightfully so) was fighting for equal opportunity. However, I don't think the liberals of today have any clue what they were fighting for or what the words "equal opportunity" even mean. Like most liberal ideas, even the few that actually are good ideas to begin with, if they are successful they always want to take more and more.

"Eqaul Opportunity" simply means that any LEGAL CITIZEN has the opportunity and the right to excel and or achieve anything that they are QUALIFIED for and WORK to get to without being impeaded by the government so long as it is within the boundaries of the law.

But liberals have created the "law" of entitlement and affirmative action. They have created a "class envy" society where they believe "equal opportunity" is to have the opportunity to dip into the success of someone else and freely give it to someone else to make them "equal".

Your thoughts...

Surely the people of a country would never consciously and purposely do such a thing. Therefore its their leaders who must be the ones doing it, and if the leaders are supposedly representing the people, then what is the disconnect?

"The U.S. invasion of Iraq was not preemption; it was ... an avaricious, premeditated, unprovoked war against a foe who posed no immediate threat but whose defeat did offer economic advantages."

Michael Scheuer, the CIA's senior expert on al-Qaeda until he quit in disgust with the Bush administration.

Can you argue with this?

I know it's quite an ironic question to somebody, but I need to find an answer 4 this. Many capitalist leaders say that the Socialism is a dangerous threat to the freedom world, and they say that the Reds were nearly destroyed after the 1991 crisis. But now, we Socialists are still here, and the South America is nearly in the left-wing's hand. What I want to ask is, while some right-wing guys always say that we are weak and easy to be destroyed, why can't they destroy us? Ha, if anyone answer that question correctly, he(she) is my friend!
