Pirates that steal stuff can sell at lower prices than those who come by their goods honorably. A con artist can always offer more than an honest man because the con artist has no connection between words and reality.

Someone who pays a good wage, and uses quality materials, cannot compete in the market with someone who sells something that looks the same but had cheaper materials and slave labor. The slaves are not the only folk hurt.

That is how we end up with poison toothpaste, and why I never shop at Mall-Wart. That is also why some countries have laws against the kind of things Mal-Wart does. Stuff costs more but it is honorably done, rather than covered in blood.

The Gang Of Pirates don't give a damn about the blood.

It means there is a race to get to the lowest dirt cheap non-organized slave labor possible as fast as possible to maximize profits. The poorest countries in the world and quite often most tyrannized peoples of the world who are human rights abused are the prize targets in this race.
