that they are completly irrational about it? I saw a few conservatives on here claim that the budget surplus that clinton had when he left office was due to Reagan, who left office 12 YEARS before, they actually believe this. They cannot admit he did anything right and the things he did do they give credit to someone else which makes no kinda sense. Reagan DIDN'T balance the budget, clinton did. to say otherwise just shows ignorance.
They also blame 9/11 on him, it's a sad day when the siting president doesn't have control over the country but I guess on 9/11 Bush didn't, clinton did. No mater Clinton's percieved mistakes it's the height of stupidity to place the blame for 9/11 on him, he MAY share the responsibilty but Bush was in office, wheres his blame?
Or is expecting rational thought and discussion from republicans too much?

3rd don't mislead: all presidetns use pardons at the end of their presidency, (you know Bush will) and if they need a pardon they ARE criminals. (duh)

The Bill Clinton hatred goes directly to the heart of the Republican party. You need to roll the clock back to the mastermind of the Conservative Rep movement Lee Atwater. Atwater was the person who got Ronald Regan elected. He did so by using the media to convince poor and lower middle class white Americans that they had more in common with the rich base of the Republican party then they did with the Democratic party. The Democrats did not help their own case with such candidates as Mondale and Dukakis. At the same time as Atwater did this he began to paint the Republican party as the party of morality and patriotism. That he did this using Ronnie as his poster boy is funny when you consider that Jane Wyman Regan's first wife divorced him on grounds of physical abuse.
The Republicans also started a campaign to paint education as bad. If you had an education or were an intellectual you were called a "east or west coast liberal" , liberal also being a bad word. The elite of the party however continued to be educated at Yale and Harvard and Stanford. As the people became dumber it was easier for the party to put "non-issues" like flag burning and gay marriage at the forefront.
The Republicans began to think they had a RIGHT to the White House, this can be seen even now, we have had several questions on YA calling for impeachment hearings to begin before Hillary or Barack are elected, when Clinton beat them winning the White House they immediately began a campaign to destroy him.
He sadly played into their hands with his extra martial affairs and that gave them the fire they needed to use against him.
What we see now with Bill is two things, the paid drones of the party: Hannity, Rush and Ann and others keep his name out there to keep the party riled up, and the ignorant masses of the party continue to bash on him because they have been taught to do so. Think of it as putting an idiot in front of whack a mole. The fool will stand there for days on end. That is what Bill is to the masses of the Republican party

I'm a conservation who votes as a registered republican. I don't hate Bill Clinton. I simply believe he is a disgraced president. I will forever have the image of the oval office as the 'oral office'. If any CEO of a large coporation did the same with an intern, and was caught and lied about it, the CEO would be out on his earn. Really, the shame is on this country for having such a man as president.
Clinton's Economic Success: He did ride the wave started by Reagan's tax cuts. But mostly, his tax surplus was on paper only. If you review the numbers in the 90's, the national debt increased and the trade deficit was never reduced. The surplus was simply an accounting trick which stated that if his proprosed tax increases were implemented over the recomended 10 years, there would be a surplus, if spending was held. But when has a liberal ever not spent a dollar they didn't have. Even the GOA reported in several instances that the surplus did not exist, it was rather a forecast and should not be used to influence spending polocy.
Clinton Co. 911 Accountability: As for blame, there is plenty to go around. It took, by all accounts six to eight years for this event to be planed. There were countless transfers of funds to the sleeper agents in the US. There were servalance trips. There was flight training. In this time, the best that the Clinton Administration and Congress could do was to create new rules which did not allow investigating agencies to work together in fear that the legal proces would be tainted because Clinton Co. thought that fighting terroism was a Legal process not a national security process.

Hate is a strong word. But he was impeached and brought great embarrassment upon our country. We were also attacked by al-qaida on at least 2 occasions. Bush was president only a few months when we were attacked on 9/11. The planning of this attack was during Clinton's time as well. If there is a conspiracy theory about the attack, perhaps it was Clinton who set up Bush.

I've supported Republican politics since 1973, I strongly dislike only one former President, and that is Abraham Lincoln.
I find your arguments and statements loaded with strong negative emotion and extreme prejudice, making RA*TION*AL discussion with you impossible. Thank you for your sensible and clear analysis of my I.Q. Now I feel better knowing you are an expert and I'm just a dummy... look up the word "rational" - - duh....

Let me ask you a hypothetical question. Let's say Bush was president before Clinton instead. Let's say the Sudan intelligence agency gives Bush detailed files on 22 known terrorists, some of which planned and carried out attacks on the WTC in 1993 and different American embassies. Let's say Bush decided to ignore these files, while he knew, and had detailed intelligence, that they were indeed planning another attack to be carried out on American soil in the near future. Then, Bush's term is up, and Clinton takes the seat. In 2001, Osama bin Laden, one of the 22 terrorists they had files on, coordinated an attack on the United States. Who's at fault for not being proactive and solving the problem BEFORE it happens? Bush or Clinton?
In real life, all democrats love to put the blame on Bush because he was the president at the time of the attacks, and he is the most easily blamed for them, because I mean, after all, he IS the omnipotent president. Yet they refuse to grant Clinton any responsibility for the attacks whatsoever.
That is why I hate Bill Clinton. Because, unlike the democrats, I blame 9/11 on him.

First, Reagan left office 4 years before Clinton was elected, not 12.
Second, Clinton was about as dishonest as a person could get.
Third, Clinton's balanced budget was brought about by his refusing to spend the money that Congress had allocated for the Military, thereby weakening our ability to react to acts of aggression.
Fourth, Clinton's Justice Dept. ORDERED the CIA and the FBI to stop communicating with each other and that's one of the major reasons we were unprepared for 9/11
Fifth, for all the caterwalling and whining you hear from the left, we actually suffered more military deaths under Billybob than we have under W.
Sixth, do I have to reiterate the criminal mischief done to the West Wing by departing Clinton staffers; the wholesale looting of the White House and Air Force One by the Clintons themselves; the mass pardoning of outright criminals by Bill Clinton in return for huge contributions; the giving of top secret guided missile technology to the Chinese in return for huge contributions and many other dispicable acts committed by the Clinton?
Every American should hate those two for the shennanigans they pulled.

I like when they give credit to the Republican Congress for Bill's accomplishments, even though they were only in control for part of his presidency and fought him on everything he tried to do. The only real complaint I have about Bill Clinton is NAFTA
