I don't care for it. It's too biased. I especially can't stand O'Reilly. He's such a dumb bigot.

I watch it more than the others, so I guess I like Fox news. The Colbert Report is entertaining in small doses, the humor seems very repetitive and simple.

Fox News enrages liberals, who believe they are entitled to have 100% of news with liberal bias.
The major networks- NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN rarely allow opposing opinions, almost all their staff are liberals and objectivity is just something they determine what is and what isn't reasonable.
Fox allows 2 points of view and has many liberals on staff. That is the major difference- the others do not allow opposing views to be expressed, whatsoever.
NY Times is the heart and sould of liberal advocate journalism. The liberal tv news group take most everything from the NY Times, as if it were gospel. Plus, the NYC culture is where the disease thrives, totally out of touch with the rest of the country.
Sorry unhappy liberals, you no longer have 100% "liberal bias" national news, you will have to settle for 85%.

FOX News is not news at all. More like FOX Opinions, or better yet FAX News because all of their so called news reports are faxed directly from the desk of Karl Rove. They should be forced to show a disclaimer running along the bottom of the screen.
I thought it was hilarious a year ago when Colbert was inviting to speak at a Repub fund raising dinner. They obviously believed his character was a legit conservative.

The trouble with Fox news is that it is in essence a large corporation that is attempting to maximise profits. Turning out equitable and morally responsible news is a secondary consideration.
To this end, commericial news outlets such as Fox are concerned with attracting advertisers, which is their primary income source. To this end they are concerned with ratings and attracting audiences. Audiences desire to be entertained, that is why they watch TV.
What you see on shows such as Fox news is not objective and fair news, it is news entertainment. What makes the best entertainment? Negative reports about foreign countrys, I mean, what bored suburbanite doesn't wish to flop on the couch and feel superior at the end of a long day?
Also Fox news is attached to a global media company which has many interests, and this includes movies and music. Whenever you see 'news reports' on stars and their movies or music, you are seeing nothing more than a thinly veiled advertising campaign for these products, which the owners of Fox news also have a financial stake in.

There news is the most right on when it comes to facts and perspective. Where they draw the ire of the left is with their nightly line-up which is more right of center than their news presentations. Of course, Alan Colmes is no conservative and neither is Great Van Sustern. If you watch Larry King and Anderson Cooper you would have to say CNN is liberal, but if you watch most of the news, they are pretty fair. Just want to remind all those in favor of the Fairness Doctrine, it cuts both ways.

Fox has a blatant right wing bias. I've had friends visit me from out of the country confirm my opinion. They know nothing about Fox but could immediately see the slant of the reporting.
As for Colbert he is, as you say, a character.

I thought Colbert was on the John Stewart Show?
Anyhow, it all depends on which side your on and how badly you need to be told what you want to hear.
CNN lost their appeal at the beginning of the war for twisting the truth and demonizing our armed forces personnel.
Anyhow, Fox is ok...no media outlet is perfect by far.

I think they give another view of the news that liberals don't like.
I think it is funny to watch all the democratic and liberal rant on about Fox News. Yet their rating keep going on up.
They are so quick to claim it right wing bias but can't ankowlege the left wing bias of the other media outlets.
If they don't like Fox News don't watch it.
Colbert is making lots of money playing a charater.

Faux News is not news, it is punditry. There is not a journalist in the bunch. They are pundits masquerading as journalists. You cannot expect better though of them because the network's behavior reflects that of its spawn- Rupert Murdoch, who admitted that he deliberately tried to slant the news to influence public opinion so people would support the Iraq War. This is not what news networks are supposed to do. They are supposed to be the eyes for the common man, to help highlight the good and highlight the bad especially with our government, not help to cover it up
The Colbert Report can be witty and funny, sometimes castigating and caustic. At least he has never tried to portray himself as a journalist.
